How Will You Get Back
Michael Schenker Group Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I've been a fool when I was younger
Reckless and wild
I've felt the rain come down and thunder
Came in to the dry
You may think it's all just a silly game

Living like you do
But watch the river rise around you
It'll come and take you away
No time for startin' over

It's always one more time
You justify your livin'
You say it's not enough
Now tell me one more time
With all the lies you're givin'
How will you get back?

So when you say you've got it all figure out
I've been there too
The world will open up and swallow

Pulling you down, down
No time for startin' over
You've gone and thrown it all away

When you're off the edge
Woah, yeah
One more time
One more time

The opening lines of the song reveal that the singer made a lot of mistakes when he was younger, and the rain and the thunder symbolize the difficulties that he has faced through his journey. i saw them on this tour at the COACHOUSE in san juan capistrano. Schenker was on fire as usual. The bass player REV JONES was great. Chris Logan the vocalist very average. But what a great venue to see MSG.
