Though Mick played with economy and ease, he wrung every bit of energy out of every note. This is nothing short of brilliant. Anyone who has ever walked NYC at night (hopefully in relative safety) should be able to relate to this tune. And the stars looked down upon The Big and Bad Apple.

Such an outstanding musician on so many levels. And a guitarist who played with such panache, understatement even. His solo on Ian Hunter's The Truth, The Whole Truth, Nothin' but the truth is masterful. Powerful, yet never overdone. Real class.

Ronson was a musician's musician. He appreciated the music of Richard Rodgers, and so he heard the mood of that bluesy, film Noir sound that Rodgers wrote in 1936. Connections and inspiration makes for the best music, Ronson more than understood and represented that, and it always keeps me interested with a passion. I am so glad he was able to get back together to work with David Bowie before he left us. So much good music, and we can still appreciate it.

Mick made Bowie, his guitar, producing, arrangements a lot he was never given full credit for. Bowie was brilliant but like the chameleon he was he'd tap into others strengths and make it his own. I truly believe Mick jettisoned Bowie into the superstar he became and he was sidelined... fantastic guitarist and singer as well...RIP Mick, you're still missed!!!!

DB has been introducing me to so many greats...Lou Reed, Velvet Underground, Mick Ronson, Ian Hunter, and it continues as his body died. He still speaks to me and is always suggesting great musicians to listen to.

'Ronno' was also a great pianist. Played all the piano and guitar leads on 'Perfect Day' when he co-produced Lou Reed's album Transformer with Bowie. Also great with arrangements, and provided a lot of the strings and brass arrangements on the Bowie albums he played on.... Yet he was one of the most humblest guys you could meet! A Genuine Legend!
