She played drums in a band in high-school. As a teenager, she was already writing. She always keeps a notebook and wrote most of her songs in airports and hotel rooms. Her first demos were recorded on her computer. To beat time, she used the sound of a pen on the table, a box, or her leg. She released her first album White T-Shirt in 2007, with the help of the producer Renaud Letang. Her music could be described as colorful, rhythmic and vocal pop.
Some Sun
Micky Green Lyrics

Come for some sun
Come to forget about someone
We can choose to get loose
Or just spend all our time in the blue
If you don't like that boat
Come for some fun
Come for some sun
Come to forget about someone
We can check out the ref
But be sure that we leave to be back for aperitif
And from here it's not far
We can swim to the bar
We can appreciate where we are
Come for some fun
Come for some sun
Come to forget about someone
Cause when push comes to shove
You know I push the love towards you
Yeah
When push comes to shove
It's me pushing love towards you
In Micky Green's song "Some Sun," the lyrics call for the listener to abandon their past troubles for a moment and join her in a carefree atmosphere. The repetitious chorus "Come for some fun, come for some sun, come to forget about someone," emphasizes the theme of escapism. The lyrics suggest a temporary break from reality, where one can indulge in the fleeting pleasures of life without any long-term obligation.
The verses give more details on the type of fun that can be had, with lines like "We can choose to get loose" and "We can float at the back near the choke." The word "fun" is repeated several times throughout the song in a way that almost hypnotizes the listener into joining in on the fantasy. The lyrics also suggest that it's about the company you keep, as Green sings "Cause when push comes to shove, you know I push the love towards you."
The song's meaning can be interpreted in various ways. It could be about a break-up or a simple day of vacation. Perhaps it's a commentary on social culture, where the pressures of life can become too much, and people need a momentary break to reset. The lyrics' beauty is that they allow the listener to join in on the fantasy without imposing a particular story or vision. "Some Sun" is a feel-good song that transports the listener to a carefree existence, if only for a moment.
