Well I had a fight with my baby
She just didn't understand
So I left that old homestead
Then sailed for a foreign land
Boat capsized in a storming sea
I said "man oh man it's the enemy"

I just knew that I was a goner
But then in my final prayer
I was tossed up high and dry
On an island from nowhere
The sand was cool, kinda soft and nice
I said "bless my soul I'm in paradise!"

Then an arrow went by my noggin
I flipped over quick to see
Native cats with (inaudible) beards
That arrow was meant for me
In perfect English the leader said: "pardon me old chap I must have your head"

Head hunters
Please leave me alone
I said head hunters
Please leave me alone
I hear baby calling
And I gotta go home

Well they tied me up to a palm tree
And then started to dance around
To the beat of conga drums
What a welcome familiar sound
It's then when I lost all my self control
When I saw the head hunters do the rock n roll

Well I told myself from the palm tree
I'll give out a little whaling song
Them natives got all shook up
'Cause I soon had 'em rocking along
The leader clapped his hands and said:
"man, we dig you the most, so you can keep your head"

Head hunters
Please leave me alone
I said head hunters
Please leave me alone
'Cause my baby needs me
And I'm on my way home
I'm on my way home
I'm on my way home
I'm on my way home
I'm on my way home.....

Should be mentioned in the same sentence as Gene Vincent or Carl Perkins. If only he didn't live in Houma, LA . . .

Does anyone who might next come up on this comment/video and may have more expertise on the subject know if this is an unissued track? The only trace of this being released I can find is very brief information from the Monster Bop booklet saying this is on the Demac label, number 108. Another source online which I cannot find where they sourced their information states it was recorded in 1960. If it was issued, would love to find a copy! Seems incredibly illusive though.
