But if you think about it when they say “I sold my soul to the devil” think of the “devil” as the industry they are tied to. Their names, money, and lives belong to that industry and they can take it all from you and make you life hell. This song came about right before she ended up in rehab and spiraling downwards, easily could have been a cry for help every much agreed
