In “Maybe You’re Right,” Miley Cyrus describes a relationship that's falling apart. In the first verse, she describes how Chapter One started happy implying how things were good and perfect; however, in Chapter Two, she started questioning whether or not they were really in love because the affection disappeared. Cyrus talked about how she couldn't receive anything from her partner, and if that was all they were, then she had to move on. She implies that her partner's presence wasn't enough, and she wanted something more.
In the second verse, Cyrus narrates the arguments and how her partner took her for granted, joking around with her mental health, and not knowing how much she could take. She tells her partner that it's no longer possible to be in love at the moment it is too late. She is also assertive and knowledgeable of what she wants and cannot be blamed for who she is.
In the final verse, Cyrus feels like she's moved on into a new chapter of life, and she's already on to something new. She talks about reaching the end and turning the page, moving forward with all that's to come. If her partner ever gets to the stage in life where everything is perfect and sunny, she implies that she'll be on his mind, implying confidence in herself that she has moved on and found love that's perfect for her.

I really love how, by saying these things (that some could see as making her vulnerable) she's actually being the very coolest. We should learn from her...
I guess we all are expected to be someone specific for somebody else... to embody this or that persona, to say certain things, to act a certain way... Most of us are pressured by either family, friends, media, society....
Sometimes it corners us and sometimes it's too much for us to take... It drive us insane and drown us in a loop of lows.
