Power To Love
Millenium Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

All I did I did for you and this is how I′m feeling
So betrayed I'm so afraid why did you stop believing
Everytime I call you on the phone I hear a stranger
Earth and sky it was you and I,
I guess you′ve changed your spirit

High on the wire you are the tears in my eyes
No room for flowers in a world
Giving in a wire so thin

And the voices will sing as a new day
Begins when we won't be around anymore
We will reach out and touch
When the road gets too rough
And bring back the power to love

Dance upon the world
No map to tell me where I'm going
Rivers deep and the mountains high
And I′ve never had this feeling
Leave the past behind me and I won′t look back
On my way for a better day
And I don't know if I′m dreaming

I have the power the power to open the door
(I have the power to open the door)
Within the hour I'm patiently waiting
Standing in line

And the voices will sing as a new day
Begins when the people won′t cry anymore
We will reach out and touch
When the road gets too rough
And bring back the power to love

High on the wire you are the tears in my eyes
(High on the wire so thin the wire)

No room for flowers in a world
Giving in a wire so thin

The lyrics of Millennium's "Power to Love" convey feelings of betrayal and abandonment in a relationship. The singer has done everything for their partner, but they have stopped believing in their love. The phone calls they make to their partner are answered by strangers, indicating that the person they once knew has changed. The singer feels lost in a world that has no roadmap and is full of obstacles like deep rivers and tall mountains. But, they want to leave the past behind and focus on a better future.

The chorus of the song offers a glimpse of hope that when things get too difficult, there will be someone to help bring back the power to love. The power to love seems to have been lost between the couple, and they hope to find it again. The song closes with the image of standing on a thin wire, indicating how fragile and delicate the relationship has become.

Overall, the song "Power to Love" has a melancholic tone, but it also conveys a message of hope that love can be rekindled even in the most challenging of situations.

Jorn Lande sounds amazing . Then again he always does . To this day and beyond . The voice of Melodic Heavy Metal !

Daniel Mesa

I saw them live when together, they hadn't the Hourglass album released yet, but they got to Spain to promote it. Lande was just amazing, really mind-blowing voice. He was mostly unknown at the time, imagine seeing a klingon-like dude and then hearing that voice... it was incredible!!
