Part III is my favorite of the series (Hoffman was an excellent villain) but II was awful. John Woo had no business being handed a Mission Impossible movie.

I wish some people would stop hating on Tom Cruise and realise that he is saving blockbuster cinema and cares more about his films than most people in the industry with control over large expensive features do. He’s also just an overall good actor, it’s easy to poke fun at him for certain roles but Rain Man, Tropic Thunder, Jerry Maguire, Edge of Tomorrow etc prove he knows what he’s doing and has range. He’ll be thanked in the future by film historians, why aren’t we appreciating him as much now?

Rebecca Ferguson carried the last two movies. Her action scenes were incredible. She’s one of my favorite actresses because she’s soooo intimidating and such a unique and charismatic actress. Her performances are always very subtle but she makes every action play on multiple levels it’s really cool. Between this franchise and doctor sleep she is probably one of the most underrated actors working today. I can’t wait to see her scenes.

You're going to love it. Some films can only be truly appreciated when seen in a theatre (Avengers: Endgame, Interstellar, Godzilla vs. Kong, films of that nature), and the M:I series (at least the most recent three - I was a kid when the original trilogy released and only saw the third in theatres, don't remember the experience) is absolutely part of that. Fallout was breathtaking on a big screen.

what makes it all the more amazing to me is hearing the stories from his stunt double and the stunt teams involved, in person, as a WizardCon. That was the best panel I ever sat on. Tom takes out a gigantic insurance claim on himself in case something happens to him doing these stunts so that the crews get paid while they are down.

The Mission Impossible movie series is probably one of the greatest series in action movie history. He is a legend. Never forget that.

Reading these comments I can't help but wonder what happened to the endless negativity he had to endure due to his 'beliefs' and with many simply saying he was mad. No such comments these days. I‘m here for the trailer because finally someone did a different style of trailer. These days ALL trailers are always structured the same but I really enjoyed this - mostly just music paired with strong pictures.

Just compared Trailer 2 to this, and first one wins in every regard. Gives goosebumps even a year later. Incredible editing and music.

Trailer 2 is sterile and follows same tired formula we've seen during past few years in other trailers. It's especially noticeable because Trailer 1 and 2 use almost the same scenes from the movie.

I just watched the behind the scenes of the sequence of the jump with the motorcycle. Can we agree that the Academy has two more chances for giving Tom Cruise an Oscar for something? Best Jump on a Motorcycle, Best Actor on the same character on 8 movies, Best Actor who does his own stunts? Insane stunts, great actor, awesome movies.

That would definitely be an awesome and interesting movie to go see because they both try to do their movies practically as much as possible.

Everything with Cruz including the stance that he does, is like straight realistic, grit, everything based on the realistic idea of what an agent himself has to go through, so if there is ever CGI in the Mission impossible movies which I’ve seen every one of them, it’s probably very little or not used much at all, and Christopher Nolan likes the idea of how CGI can emphasize things a little bit, but he has a direct or likes to go as practical as he can before having to do any CGI, so both people having that same idea, that would be quite an interesting movie I actually wouldn’t mind seeing.

A movie between the both of them being done where I get to enjoy as much the reality and practicality/realism that can be achieved in a movie over CGI.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big movie buff and CGI does in my opinion add to a level of entertainment, but it puts me more on the edge of my seat if I was to see a movie with gritty realism placed because of practicality over a hard to believe CGI effect.

Wow ! This man is sixty but does insane stunts like riding a motorcycle off a goddamn cliff. Hats off for you Tom because in an era superheros are built on CGI you are truly a legend.
And this movie trailer is brilliant. This is how you tell the audience a story without telling it exactly, giving you intense action pack thrilling ride for one minute.

It’s clear from the trailer that M:I 7 and 8 are a love letter to the whole series. The train sequence is from 1st film. The long running shot is from 3rd film. The desert is from 4th film. This is the finale to a series that really figured out what audiences want: insane action sequences done practically
