Moby found commercial and critical success with his fifth album Play (1999), which, after receiving little recognition, became an unexpected global hit in 2000 after each track was licensed to films, television shows, and commercials. It remains his highest selling album with 12 million copies sold. Its seventh single, "South Side", featuring Gwen Stefani, remains his only one to appear on the US Billboard Hot 100, reaching No. 14. Moby followed Play with albums of varied styles including electronic, dance, rock, and downtempo music, starting with 18 (2002), Hotel (2005), and Last Night (2008). His later albums saw him explore ambient music, including the almost four-hour release Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep. (2016). Moby continues to record and release albums; his twenty-first studio album, Resound NYC, was released in May 2023.
In addition to his music career, Moby is known for his veganism and support for animal rights and humanitarian aid. He was the owner of TeaNY, a vegan cafe in Manhattan, and Little Pine, a vegan restaurant in Los Angeles, and organized the vegan music and food festival Circle V. He is the author of four books, including a collection of his photography and two memoirs: Porcelain: A Memoir (2016) and Then It Fell Apart (2019).

Let's Go Free
Moby Lyrics

Let's
Let's go
Let's
Let's
Let's go
Let's go free
I found it in my heart
Not back in my home lair
When I get these ?
What I couldn't understand
That's I was so fucked
I was so a feared
I wanted to get fucked
What did I mean?
Now it's all dark
And my heart is all that's living
No this thing can't hold myself
What love is going here now?
And I was all lost
Yeah I was so what
You broke my heart
When I want
Now it's all fucked
I wanted to be safe
I wanted some care
Like everything is always
And I was so a feared
I was so fucked
I wanted no longer
Won't get me love
Love me love
Need a life
Need a life
Need a life
Need a life
The lyrics to Moby's song Let's Go Free is a contemplation of emotional pain, healing, and a desire for freedom. The repeated call to action of "Let's go" creates a sense of urgency and motivation to move forward. The singer acknowledges that they have been hurt and fearful in the past, but also recognizes that they have found strength and perseverance in their heart. The line "Now it's all dark and my heart is all that's living" suggests a feeling of isolation and vulnerability, yet the singer also expresses a sense of determination to not let their pain define them.
As the song progresses, the lyrics seem to shift towards a desire for love and connection. The repetition of "What love is going here now?" suggests a craving for emotional intimacy and understanding. The lines "I wanted to be safe, I wanted some care, like everything is always" implies a longing for stability and security in a world that may feel chaotic and unpredictable. Overall, the song seems to be about the struggles of healing from emotional pain and the desire for freedom, love, and a meaningful life.

It’s so obviously “let’s” - Moby even gave you a blatant hint in the track’s title but you still couldn’t grasp it. Do you not hear the later addition of the word “go”? Why the hell would it be “this go” when the title is “LET’S Go Free”?
