Hold On To Your Friends
Morrissey Lyrics

A bond of trust
Has been abused
Something of value
May be lost
Give up your job
Squander your cash, be rash
Just hold on to your friends

There are more than enough
To fight and oppose
Why waste good time
Fighting the people you like
Who will fall defending your name
Oh, don't feel so ashamed
To have friends

But now you only call me
When you're feeling depressed
When you feel happy I'm
So far from your mind
My patience is stretched
My loyalty vexed
Oh, you're losing all of your friends

Hold on to your friends
Hold on to your friends
Resist or move on
Be mad, be rash
Smoke and explode
Sell all of your clothes
Just bear in mind
Oh, there just might come a time
When you need some friends

As a lifelong Smiths follower, never thought I would say this, but this guitar melody is possibly as good as anything produced by Marr.

Alain Whyte is awesome and I'm glad he's back in Moz's touring band.
It would;ve been nice if Moz kept working with Stephen Street and Vini Reilly though. The Durutti column is too obscure and could use more exposure

@Gabriel Lopes good attempt but not jangly and bright enough…

Gabriel Lopes

It was a hard attempt to emulate Johnny's sound. And it worked very, very well.

"But now you only call me when you're feeling depressed when you feel happy I'm so far from your mind my patience is stretched my loyalty vexed you're losing all of your friends" — One of the best lyrics I've ever heard so close to my life and adolescence.

@Bear Foot I can relate to this, my ex only calls when something negative happens in her life and shes depressed. When she's having a good time, not a hello nothing.

Bear Foot

I could swear this was written about my ex.
