Damage Case
Motörhead Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hey babe, don't act so scared
All I want is some special care
I'm on the run from some institution
All I want's a little consolation
And I can tell by your face
I'm a total disgrace
Let me inside your place
Move over for a damage case

Hey babe, wait a minute, stop
Don't run away, don't call the cop
I ain't looking to victimize you
All I want to do is tantalize you
And I can tell by your state
I'm all over the place
I can tell by your face
Got no time for a damage case

Go!

Hey babe, don't turn away
I'm here tomorrow, I'm gone today
I don't care what you think your game is
I don't care even what your name is
And I can tell by your face
You're all over this place

Let me inside your face
Move over for a damage case

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of the song Damage Case by Motörhead tell a story about the singer's wild and reckless behavior, where he is on the run from an institution and looking for some consolation from a woman. At the beginning of the song, he seems confident that he will get what he wants and asks the woman not to act scared since all he wants is some special care. However, she looks at him as a total disgrace, and he asks for her to let him inside her place and move over for a damage case.

As the song progresses, the singer stays persistent, telling the woman not to run away or call the cops while he tries to tantalize her. He admits to being scattered all over the place but has got no time for a damage case. In the final verse, the singer asserts his presence and tells the woman that he doesn't care about her name or games since he is here today and gone tomorrow. He asks her to let him inside her face and move over for a damage case.

The song's lyrics represent Motörhead's hard-rocking and fast-living lifestyle, reflecting the band's image, which suggests rebellion and a go-for-it attitude. The song has a strong and catchy beat that is typical of Motörhead's style and can be interpreted as a classic representation of rock and roll music.

Damage Case is so heavy... It was so brutal back in the day, in 1979.

@wolfdog7265

check out ¨el brujo y el tiempo´´ from Pappo´s blues vol 3, same riff but slower AND in ARGENTINA 1972

@komoonkh

Motorhead is still heavier than some death metal and hardcore bands today. Thats because Lemmy was a killer man.

Can't agree more

Heavy...yet still danceable. Listening to it while finishing up a 6 pack and jumping around my apartment like a moron.

Ace of Spades got all the attention but Overkill was always, and still is, my favourite Motorhead album. Damage Case, Limb From Limb, I'll Be Your Sister....all classics. And the cover artwork is top notch as well. 🤘🎸
