He made his first steps in a field of art, when he co-founded an artistic group called Illusion of Sense in 2002. While creating IoS, he managed to gather a lot of creative people such as: writers, poets and visual artists.
After his first success in a world of words, the time for music began. Firstly, it was the psychedelic guitar sound in Dust|Box formed by the IoS artists along with Lukasz in a role of a bass guitar player. As the result of this creative mashup, the EP “first sleep” was born with a twin brother “22:22″ the movie.
Then, there was a short episode with Untitled_2 cover band, in which he played bass lines for tracks like NiN – Piggy or Talking Heads – Psycho Killer and many more.
In between, a conceptual-electro project “square extension” was brought to life. Lukasz was the bass guitar and keyboard player as well as the producer and the mastering engineer. SE released two EPs: “soulless:blank” and “extend, expand” and gave over 18 gigs in Poland, United Kingdom and Germany. Before the finalization of the 3rd EP the project ended.
After that, Lukasz decided to create a new music being called Mr. Zagaynikov. Lukasz’s chosen name is a tribute to the neighbourhood where he’s been living since he was born. Now, in search of new sounds, Mr. Zagaynikov explores numerous European capital cities such as: Berlin, Paris and Madrid.
As a result of these trips, a four-track-long EP called Sunshine Units was released. Each song presents different musical styles, from electro through breatbeat, house to chillout.
