As a community, we are not supportive of each other's success and growth.

Instead of helping him to succeed, get all that he can get
We do not want to support others in achieving their best, but rather solely focus on our own personal growth.

We hating, contemplating, taking his jewels and his whip
Rather than celebrating the success of others, we are focused on taking what they have for ourselves out of envy and spite.

Shit you there paper-chasing, thinking it'll end your stress
We are chasing after material possessions, falsely believing that it will bring us happiness.

Cant buy self esteem, love not selflessness
We can't purchase self-respect and love, instead it comes from within ourselves and our actions towards others.

You can drive a million miles, in your Bentley like a star
No matter how successful one may appear on the outside, they cannot outrun who they truly are and where they come from.

You can fly across the globe, but cant escape who you are
Regardless of physical location, we cannot change who we are on the inside.

And all this bragging and this boasting about the paper that you stack
We excessively talk about our material wealth, which only serves to further divide us as a community.

Cant achieve as a people unless back give back
We need to support and give back to our community in order to achieve success as a group.

Think it aint your problem turn your back you hypocrite
If we choose to ignore the issues within our own community, then we are hypocritical and complicit in our own destruction.

As long as poverty exists there'll be robbery of the rich
As long as there is an economic divide between individuals, there will continue to be crime and theft between those with more and those with less.

This negativity got me ready to explode
The overwhelming amount of negativity in our community is causing frustration and anger.

Its like were on animosity overload
We are dealing with an excess of hostility and animosity towards each other.

Were hustling the same hustle, down the same road
We are all working towards similar goals, but are not supporting each other in the process.

But were on self-destructive mode
We are engaging in behaviors that will ultimately harm ourselves and our community.

Until we have unity we cant grow
Without a sense of togetherness and unity, we will not be able to achieve anything as a community.

If we could let go and let the love flow
If we could release our negative emotions and focus on love and support, we could achieve great things together.

We still living in division applied when we were slaves
We are still operating under systems of division from the slavery era.

Our ancestors are probably turning in their graves
Our ancestors who fought for freedom and equality are likely disappointed by our current behavior towards each other.

To see a brother, see another and just shoot him down
We are killing each other without any legitimate reason, rather than supporting and lifting each other up.

Never did him no wrong he just form the other side of town
We are perpetuating harmful stereotypes and prejudices towards individuals based on where they come from.

And its foolish and senseless, I cant comprehend
The violence and destruction within our own community is senseless and beyond comprehension.

Sisters when we see our sisters why we face just a bend
We are putting up barriers and hostility towards our female counterparts rather than supporting each other as women.

We don't show love
We are not expressing love towards each other in our words and actions.

We don't pay no compliments
We are not offering positive feedback or support to one another.

We show hostility and cause enough commotion
Instead of supporting each other, we are causing chaos and hostility between us.

We aint fighting racism
We are not fighting against racism or racial injustice, but rather perpetuating harm within our own community.

Or the injustice were shown
We are not focused on fighting against systems of injustice beyond our own community.

We fighting in our homes
We are fighting amongst ourselves and harming our own community from within.

And busy destroying our own
Our negative behavior is leading to harm and destruction of our own community.

Complaining about the white man
We are shifting blame and complaining about white individuals rather than taking responsibility for our own actions and harm within our community.

And the way he make us live
We are blaming the actions of white individuals for our own negative behavior within our own community.

But plenty of us, in the street, selling crack to our kids
We are perpetuating harm and destruction within our own community through selling drugs to our own family and neighbors.

And its so crazy and its ridiculous
The situation we find ourselves in as a community is absurd and unbelievable.

Take a look at what were doing
We need to examine our own behavior in order to create positive change within our community.

Ignorance aint bliss
Our lack of awareness and knowledge is negatively impacting our community.

Were so played by fear and insecurity
Fear and insecurity is driving our negative behavior towards each other.

That we destroying and exploiting our community
Our negative behavior is leading to the destruction and exploitation of our own community.
