Dert Bende Derman Sende

Aşk bende ferman sende
Öldüren güldüren
Her gün ağlatan kalp sende
Mevsimler gelip geçse de
Aşk beni benden etse de
Dünyada hayat bitse de
Yine olumsuz aşk bende
İstemem aşkıma leke sürülsün
Ben rüyamda bile yalnız seni sevdim
İstemem baharda yaprak dökülsün
Aşkın alevse hasretin bir kör
Senin yokluğunu kalbime sor
Dünya seninle gelmiş gibiyim
Sensiz yaşamayı düşünmek çok zor
Sev demem sevme demem
Sen de benim gibi sev diyemem
Ömrümün neşesini seninle buldum kaybedemem
Nerelerdeydin sevgilim
Seni kader mi sakladı
Yıllardır beklenen huzur
Şimdi beni kucakladı
The lyrics to Muazzez Ersoy's song "Dert Bende Derman Sende" speak of the singer's all-consuming love for her partner. The opening line, "dert bende derman sende," translates to "the problem is with me, but the solution is with you," implying that while the singer may face challenges in life, her partner is always there to comfort and support her. The following line, "aşk bende ferman sende," translates to "I have the love, but you have the power," highlighting the notion that the singer may hold feelings of deep affection, but it is her partner who holds the ultimate power in their relationship.
The lyrics continue to describe how the singer's heart is constantly brimming with emotions. She experiences both the highs and lows of love but cannot fathom life without her partner. The line "istemem ayrilik boynumu buksun" translates to "I don't want separation to make me bow my head," further emphasizing how the thought of losing her partner is unbearable to her. The singer describes how she only has feelings for her partner, even dreaming of them when she is asleep. She also notes how living without her partner is difficult, likening it to living in a world where seasons come and go but love remains constant.
The song ends on a positive note, with the singer expressing gratitude for the happiness and peace that her partner brings into her life. "Nerelerdeydin sevgilim, seni kader mi sakladi" translates to "where were you, my love? Did fate hide you from me?" but now, the singer is overjoyed to have finally found the love she has been seeking for so long.
