From the beginning in 2008 the band has toured in Austria, Germany, Bosnia, Croatia, Great Britain, Israel, Palestine as well as the US five times. Their debut EP „Leper“ (2008) stormed the college radio charts throughout the US.
In Febuary 2010 the first full length Album „Home Is Where The Heart Breaks“ was released in Europe and the US and was supported by tourdates and a broad promotion campaign (by Rainmaker Public Relations, Gordeon Music) on both continents.
The album generated buzz in the „new media“ world, so much that star producer Sylvia Massy (Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers, REM, Johnny Cash, Tool…) was turned on to the band and proposed producing their next album. January 2011 will see that happen.
The way My Glorious organise their own tours, manage themselves and have created a completely new way of living the indie band idea, attracted a lot of interest from music sites, online magazines and music biz blogs which lead to Sami becoming a sought after writer for international websites (e.g www.musikfueruns.de, www.indieonthemove.com, www.weallmakemusic.com, www.andy.artmagazine.cc, www.knowthemusicbiz.com)
Right from the start My Glorious considered themselves to be a company, and so finally, at the beginning of 2010, „My Glorious Music Productions KG“ was founded.
The sound of the band has been described as Coldplay meets Foo Fighters and represents groove based indie rock with passsionate melodies. The lyrics dig deep below the surface and are an „honest attempt to understand life“.
“My Glorious play music in a crowded space, I can’t even guess the number of bands I receive details from who play this style of indie rock and the vast majority sound like a poor copy of U2, if that isn’t an oxymoron in itself. So it was with a rapidly beating heart, not in a good way, that I listened to the tracks that Astrid (PR) had pointed me towards, but my fears were dispelled immediately.
What makes for a good sounding band? If there was a formula I guess everyone would sound the same, but one essential ingredient has to be passion, mixed with creativity and this comes in shovel loads from My Glorious…”

Blue Horizon
My Glorious Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Down on the desert sand
I lay in need of water
In need of fruitful land
Under the clear horizon
Under the burning sun
I wait for life to find me
To fill my cup again
Under the starlit darkness
Laying on a cold cold ground
The tension holds me tightly
I listen for a sound
Under the silent darkness
Under the daunting star
I sense my place of refuge
Is never far
Under the blue horizon
Down on the desert sand
I've given up my journey
In search for better land
Under the clear horizon
Under the burning sky
I wait for life to find me
The life that once was mine
This is my expectation
That hope will search and find
It comes my way I think
Will it be here on time
Will it come to rescue
Will it find my way
Will it walk past me
Or will it stay
The lyrics of My Glorious's song "Blue Horizon" describe a person's search for life, hope, and happiness. The song paints a picture of someone stranded in a barren desert, desperate for water and nourishment. This person is waiting for life to find them and fill their cup again, to rescue them from their lonely existence. The second verse takes on a darker tone, describing someone lying on a cold ground under a starlit sky. The tension is high as they wait for a sound and sense their place of refuge is never far away. In the final verse, the person acknowledges that they have given up on their journey in search of better land. However, they still wait for life to find them and bring back the life that was once theirs.
Overall, the song is a powerful exploration into the human desire for happiness and fulfillment. The lyrics show the struggles that people face as they search for meaning and purpose in their lives. The desert and star-filled sky are used as metaphors for this struggle, representing the vastness and uncertainty of life.
