A Little Bit Of Love
N.S.M. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I just wanna get a little bit
(Gladwin you're an angel)

I just wanna get a little bit
Just enough to get a nigga clean
I just wanna get a little bit (I just wanna get a little bit)
I've been grinding but I'm never seen
Slowly drowning in the river and (Slowly drowning in the river and)
Doesn't seem like I will ever breath
I just wanna get a little bit (I just wanna get a little bit)
I ain't here for what I'll never need

Man to really tell the truth I've been thinking hard and
I've remained true to the vision mom had
I became schooled in the rhythm with tools
I would never reuse when I needed more help
I been living under rules that were here to fault me
I have been brewed by the shit I can't have
What can you do homie
I remain screwed you will never be the dude if you living off scraps

I just wanna get a little bit
I'm just tryna get a little cream
While I watch 'em getting rid of it
What I'd do to nibble at the seams
I'm just tryna be considerate
Starting to look like I will never eat
Pray to Jesus to deliver it
I pray the lord will let a nigga dream

I just wanna get a little bit
Just enough to get a nigga clean
I just wanna get a little bit (I just wanna get a little bit)
I've been grinding but I'm never seen
Slowly drowning in the river and (Slowly drowning in the river and)
Doesn't seem like I will ever breath
I just wanna get a little bit (I just wanna get a little bit)
I ain't here for what I'll never need

I just wanna get a little bit
Little me thought I'd live a dream
Now I feel like such an idiot
Let me be set a nigga free
Don't bleed little nigga don't bleed
You may be weak but they never gon' see
I am in need but my head is on sleeves
I ain't believe when they said I won't feed
Devil won't sleep man the devil won't sleep
I have been bleak I have treaded on knee
I have seen heat rip & sever both feet
I can relieve it's forever gon' be
What I'm headed for speaks through the hell that I've peeped
The grief the pain the dumps defeat
It's deep the hate
I long for the day that I receive just a piece of the love
That I never got to keep but I breathed in abundance
To all who were in need I'm pleading
Not for everything just enough for me to eat

I just wanna get a little bit
Just enough to get a nigga clean
I just wanna get a little bit (I just wanna get a little bit)
I've been grinding but I'm never seen
Slowly drowning in the river and
Doesn't seem like I will ever breath
I just wanna get a little bit

I ain't here for what I'll never need
I just wanna get a little bit

@Pinball Mayhem You're welcome, maybe interesting, they were founded in 1953, they started with slot machines called rotamint. As said first they used a horizontal mechanism in their jukeboxes almost like a normal record changer between 1956 ( start production Fanfare 60) and 1959 (this system would pop up in some models in the '60's as a cheaper version of a model that was also available with the serenade mechanism) , from 1960 till 1968 they started with a carriage and a pinbank but different than Seeburg (Fanfare Silber was the first model but they called it the serenade stereo magic mechanism after the first open model jukebox with the carriage) between 1969 and 1976 they used the toroid system ( like the Century 21 of 1975 on my channel ) and in 1977 they started with the "E" serie wat stands for "Electronic" what runs on a programmed texas instuments TMS 1000 chip folowed by the ES system, a small improvement was made in de computer on the follow-up system called ES2 but is completely compatible. ES3 is only made for Löwen-Automaten (see indication below or above the word Satellite, the other model was the 240I that holds 120 records) the last system on 45 Rpm was ES4 final model was Galaxy 200 that is only made for America so its very rare here in Europe.

The ES 2- ES 3 and ES 4 were also made with a ortofon mechanism, on your satellite you can read " Model Satellite 200" the ortofon version is called "Model Satellite O- 200 or satellite 200_O "

The ES 4 carriage can be used on ES 3 jukeboxes but the ES 3 only carriage can not be used on ES 4

The first time they start using the Ortofon carriage was on the City II -O

There you have all the information in a nutshell

Hi, Great Video’s. I’ve got an NSM City, not sure which one. I’ve got a problem with the turntable not turning. It moves up and down the carriage and picks a record but doesn’t turn the record. The problem started last year, it was picking the record but taking a bit of time to start playing. Now it just picks the record but doesn’t turn. “ Hope you can help “. Andrew from Scotland. Cheers.

Thank you for the compliment. I have not worked on any other NSM jukes. The only thing I have to offer is check that the turntable motor turns freely - they can seize up over time.

Hello your video is really interesting I have a question for you is the arm that lifts the record up and obviously the jukebox cannot work would you have any advice for me to repair it? I thank you in advance

Pinball Mayhem

Hi Massimo, check that the arm is not stuck on it's shaft. There are other things that can cause this issue but a close examination of the mech (all sides even underneath) can be helpful.

The washers take out the end play in the motor shaft. Did you notice how the NSM (I call the machine NFG) mechanism is just a cheap copy of Seeburg's mechanism?

Pinball Mayhem

Thanks for the great comment RKM. I learn something new every time I work on something. Plus I never knew that NSM made a tormat unit. There's an interesting history there for sure.

Löwen Automaten was the german ditributor of Seeburg jukeboxes, NSM ( named after the 3 founders ,Nack , Shulze & Mencke) was making jukeboxes with a unique system (Fanfare 60-100) but this system was not handy for most operators so they went using the carriage on request of Löwen Automaten that was also distributing NSM and that's the only link between Seeburg and NSM. Some called it a cheap knock-of Seeburg I say it's a cheap improved system over Seeburg because for the price you bought 1 Seeburg you could almost buy 2 NSM juke's and that's why NSM did become one of the greatest jukebox manufacturer in the world . Seeburg went out of buisiness in the early '80's while NSM is still active and the claims Seeburg made to NSM didn't work out because the difference between both brands mechanisms were big enough. Fun Fact In the 70's NSM's version of the toroid memory unit (Seeburg Tormat) does not require a physical ground line and thats why the NSM version is made out of plastic and got away with the Tormat patent claim.
Most heard complain about NSM is the use of plastic gears, Yes plastic is cheap and gears breaks easyer but most carriages still work after 50 Years after a good lubrication and parts are still available so why make it in more expensive metal then? Good luck with the repairs hope you get the same appreciation that I got for this German now American brand that's part of antique apparatus since 1994 ( Rock-Ola bubbler and NSM Nostalgia gold are the same jukebox cabinet only with a different mechanism 😉) so you can see it has quite a huge history

Pinball Mayhem

Yep, the Seeburg mech is a mechanical marvel for sure 💚
