枝になった林檎は
君じゃない
誰かも手を伸ばす
みんなが
あきらめてるような
高い木の上
探さないのか?
なぜ君は
絶対失敗しない?
手頃な

僕は無理をする
妥協はしない
冷やかな目で

These lyrics from NMB48's song 高嶺の林檎 (Takane no Ringo) question the purpose of settling for less and the value of hard work and risk-taking in attaining one's dreams. The song starts with the imagery of an apple on a high branch which everyone seems to have given up reaching except the singer who questions why nobody is making an effort to find it. This serves as a metaphor for how people often abandon their goals because they believe they are unattainable.
The chorus shows the determination of the singer to take risks and work hard until they achieve their dreams, even if it means going against the norms and being judged by others. They refuse to compromise and accept average results, instead, choosing to aim for the top and not settle for less. The lyrics emphasize the importance of motivation and effort in achieving one's goals and suggest that the journey is just as important as the destination.
Overall, "Takane no Ringo" encourages listeners to keep reaching for their dreams, even if they appear unattainable, and to work hard and take risks to achieve them.
