The song "So Long" by Nadia Batson talks about meeting someone after a long time and wanting to catch up. The song starts with the singer expressing disbelief and excitement upon seeing the person after such a long time. She wants to dance with them and enjoy the moment.
The chorus talks about how long it has been since they have seen each other and begs the person to give her a whine (a Caribbean term for a dance move). She wants to make up for all the time they have been apart and reconnect with them through dance and physical closeness.
The second verse talks about the singer thought the person had gone away and how it is so amazing to bump into them after such a long time. She describes how good they look, and how much their life seems to be doing good. The bridge ties everything together, and the singer expresses her longing for the person's presence and wanting to hold on to them and rock away the night.
Overall, the song is a celebration of reconnection and the joy that comes with seeing someone after an extended period. It's about wanting to make up for lost time through dance and physical closeness.
