The song "Tam'atk" by Najwa Karam is a heartbreakingly beautiful ballad about lost love and regret. The lyrics speak of a relationship where one person has let the other down, and now they are left to deal with the pain of separation. The first verse says, "I desired you, but in my heart I lost you, I can't find you anymore. In your eyes my love became insignificant and my love for you became weak." The singer is saying that the person they loved has become distant and their love has faded away.
The chorus speaks of the pain of being forgotten by the one you love. The singer laments that the person they loved has forgotten them, but they cannot forget the other person. They say, "You can make the sun disappear in front of you, you can change the color of your imagination, you can try to forget about yourself, but you cannot forget about me." This line shows the overwhelming pain and sadness the singer feels about the loss of their love.
The second verse speaks to the pain of being wronged and betrayed by their lover. The singer says that the lover didn't consider the hurt they would cause by their actions, and that they have been left to suffer. The verse ends with a note of hope that the pain will eventually pass, but that it will take time. The song is a powerful reminder of the consequences of lost love and the importance of cherishing the people we have in our lives.
