She made her solo début in July 2010, with the digital single "I'm In Love" (with 정성하), an acoustic ballad.

Her romanised eponymous début EP was "NARSHA" (18 Jul 2010), from which a music video was released, for "삐리빠빠" (aka romanised: "Bbi Ri Bba Bba" - later, her début album's title track), showing a nightmarish concept & which sparked religious controversy.

I first listened to this song years ago, but it's just now occurring to me--I think this song is about suicide. A figure alternately angelic and demonic, consoling, struggling, and terrifying, talking about people with "worn-out souls" coming to her, to a place without happiness or sadness or disease, and how it's still a "scary dream", and how all memories will be erased. Combine that with the imagery of prayer, standing at the edge of a cliff, and blood-soaked clothing, and I could be projecting, but especially considering the ongoing suicide epidemic in South Korea, and suicide seems like a very plausible inspiration for this song. I could just be projecting, but I like this song all the more with the narrative I've either discovered or created.

4 years late here but I remember her live performances she looked incredibly tired and she didn't perform 100%. At the time she was doing A LOT of promotions and juggling with driving out to do Invincible Youth. She might have been sick but I noticed she didn't have her spark in the live shows. I think she may have burned out and maybe she doesn't want that stress without her members being there, too.

I mean it could also be the label only wanting to spend money on Gain who was a sure thing. I mean did you see Miryo's solo MV? It was so low budget it was offensive. Narsha's I'm In Love is LEGENDARY though and it's still a very popular cafe love song.
