The lyrics to Nicholis Louw's song "Ek's Nog Hier" are about a love that has transcended death. In the first verse, the singer says that even though it is winter where his love is, she doesn't feel cold because he is there with her. He goes on to say that things on earth may fade away, but their love is eternal. The past doesn't matter, because they have forgiven each other and moved on. He tells her that his heart belongs to her forever.
In the second verse, the singer addresses his love directly, asking if she would understand if he spoke to her, whether she could prevent what happened to him, and whether she could wipe away her own tears. He tells her not to cry, because he is still with her, even though he is not in a grave. He says he is her angel now, watching over her from where he is. There are no tears where he is, but he cries for her.
The final verse reveals the reason why the singer cannot speak to his love directly. He speaks a different language now, that only he understands. He asks her to try to understand. The song ends with the singer repeating that his heart still belongs to his love, and he wonders if she would understand if he could explain to her.

@Red sorry for your loss too. Its definitely comforting & yes the tears do help heal. Life is never the same again though. We do however live to help the next one through their pain.
