Nuclear Assault had released six studio albums to date, in addition to two live albums, four EPs and one compilation album. Their most successful records are Survive (1988) and Handle with Care (1989), which peaked at Nos. 145 and 126 on the Billboard 200 chart, respectively. Other than four new songs in 2015 on the EP Pounder, the band had not released a full-length studio album since 2005's Third World Genocide, and they would continue to perform live sporadically over the years before calling it quits once again in 2022.

Nuclear Assault Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
His eyes are blind they see nothing, nothing at all
All his thoughts bend towards things,
Things that only he sees
All the world a reflection of his dreams,
His nightmares are all too real
Trapped within a crystalline world of thought
Not a fool unaware, of what must be sought
All the world a reflection of his dreams,
His nightmares are all too real
Tear out the eyes that do not see
Turning your thoughts to perceptions within
Reaching through shadows blood on his hands
Grasping the truth that he has found
The lyrics of Nuclear Assault's song "Behind Glass Walls" describe a man who lives in a world of his own thoughts and dreams, separated from reality by metaphorical glass walls. He is blind to the outside world and solely focuses on his own perceptions and notions. The world he witnesses is nothing but a reflection of his emotions and imaginations, where his nightmares become all too palpable. He lives trapped within the confines of his own mind, where his hopes and dreams are frozen in time, unable to manifest themselves in the real world.
The lyrics then move towards more violent imagery, where the character turns towards bloodshed to awaken the truth he has found. The phrase "tear out the eyes that do not see" signifies the violent action of letting go of thoughts that do not align with one's own beliefs. The line "reaching through shadows blood on his hands" further emphasizes the violent nature of the character, where he is willing to go to any lengths to reach the truth and break free from his mental confinement. The song ultimately speaks to the struggles of the human mind and the challenges of finding one's truth amid societal and emotional pressures.

I think this was a phenominal album. Also very well produced. They seemed to fade into existance after they appeared on "Thunder and Mud". Sad. A truly awesome 80's and 90's metal band. I loved Something Wicked.

Something Wicked has great songwriting and their isn’t a weak leak. John started to sing more and it sounds great. They should have toured with grunge band but by then they were already pigeonholed by label idiots.
