The lyrics of Oblivion's song "Cancer of Wraiths" paint a grim picture of a world with no hope. The first verse talks about how even nature seems to have surrendered to the darkness that surrounds everything. The Sabbath, which is traditionally a day of rest, has now been corrupted by the presence of evil, represented by the "rust in the air." The next line, "The blood is sacred here," may refer to the blood spilled by those who have succumbed to the darkness. The mention of "dimension tears" suggests that there may be some kind of portal or rift that has opened up, allowing dark forces to pour into the world. The last two lines of this verse describe how, in this bleak world, time and sanity have lost all meaning.
The next verse is more focused on the people living in this world. When the lyrics say "Out of reality," it implies that the world is so twisted that it no longer resembles the one we know. The phrase "Mild insanity" suggests that some people have managed to retain their sanity to a degree, but they are still affected by the darkness that surrounds them. The line "Chimera / The ship has departed" refers to a mythical creature, and the ship could be a metaphor for hope or salvation. Whatever it may be, it is now gone, leaving the people to their fate. The final lines speak of "Truant killers / A cancer of wraiths," which may refer to those who have given up and now act as agents of darkness. They refuse to make any effort to escape their situation and instead revel in destruction and violence.
