Cada Cop
Obrint Pas Lyrics

Cada cop que escric,
Cada cop que parle
Ja no sé el que em dic.
He intentat canviar,
He intentat marxar
He intentat fumar
I el fum m'ha fet plorar.
He perdut tot enllaç
Entre jo i el meu voltant
I ara estic trist, pàl·lid i callat,
Sempre esperant el meu final,
El meu final...
The lyrics to Obrint Pas's song Cada Cop speak to a sense of disillusionment and disconnect from oneself and one's surroundings. The repetition of the phrase "Cada cop" (each time) highlights the feeling of detachment from one's actions and words. The singer seems to be struggling with their identity, unsure of who they are or what they stand for. They have tried to change, to leave, to smoke, but nothing has helped ease their sadness.
The loss of connection between the singer and their surroundings is emphasized by the line "He perdut tot enllaç entre jo i el meu voltant" (I have lost all connection between myself and my surroundings). This sense of loneliness and detachment has left the singer feeling hopeless and resigned to their "final" fate. The somber tone of the song reflects the singer's mood, with the slow tempo and melancholic melody enhancing the sense of sadness and disconnect.
Overall, Cada Cop is a poignant exploration of the human experience of feeling lost and disconnected from oneself and others. It captures the emotional turmoil of feeling out of touch with one's own identity and the despair that comes with it.
