I was front and centre in the moshpit, fucking exhausted after all the bands before them (foo fighters, qotsa) so the entire RHCP set was just stunned amazement from start to finish. Each song was probably their best ever performance or near enough to it. John was possessed by something, and the others came along for the ride.
Perfect sound, constant chills all over, the terrain of Slane is perfect, forming a natural amphitheater. No wind, amazing crowd. Such a chemistry between the band and crowd. No stupid phones or selfie taking idiots. The best gig of my life hands down.

You said it all, man! The gig I would attend to if I could go back in time. "No stupid phones or selfie taking idiots" - that makes a BIG difference. Crowds nowadays are dead.
