Oh Hiroshima Lyrics

A crime so old as the sky and bone,
He came untied,
Solid as a stone,
All is almost lost and it starts to show,
Cause it's home but it's gone.
He came, he paved the skies,
İt's a call before the chasm collide,
Cause it's home but it's gone.
Tear down your suffering, bolt by bolt, Tear down your suffering, bolt by bolt, Tear down your suffering, bolt by bolt, Tear down your suffering, bolt by bolt.
The lyrics to Oh Hiroshima's song "Mirage" describe the aftermath of a devastating event that has left the singer feeling lost and hollow. The first stanza sets the scene, describing how something precious and wild has been taken away by an unknown force. The fact that this crime is "so old as the sky and bone" suggests that it is an eternal and universal tragedy, one that has been repeated throughout history. The second line, "He came untied," is ambiguous - it could mean that the thief came undone in some way, or that he came and untied something else, but either way it adds to the sense of chaos and confusion.
The second stanza continues to explore the theme of loss, with the singer noting that "All is almost lost and it starts to show" - perhaps implying that they have been trying to hold it together but are starting to crack under the weight of it all. The line "Cause it's home but it's gone" is particularly poignant, suggesting that the singer has lost something that was central to their sense of identity and belonging. The third line of the stanza shifts the focus to the thief, describing how he has "paved the skies" and "stolen the strands of sunlight". This could be a metaphor for some kind of ecological or societal destruction, or a more figurative way of describing the thief's power and influence. The final two lines are a call to action, urging the listener to "do what's right" before it's too late.
Overall, "Mirage" is a haunting reflection on the fragility of life and the inevitability of loss. The lyrics use vivid imagery and powerful metaphors to convey a sense of despair and dislocation, while also hinting at the possibility of redemption and renewal through the act of tearing down one's suffering.

Hold on there's a light
The stones still sing
What I've seen from the walls
Head to head in a brawl
I'm throwing in
All that's left of my heart
When storms are raging just hold on
When cloaked in shadows our blood’s still warm
With words running deep
From his lips waters stream
Unto every soul
Riches unmaterial
Come break every stone
Redeem our darkened home
Steady eyes watching still
The breaking dawn behind the hills
