Little Girls
Oingo Boingo Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

I, I, I love little girls
They make me feel so good
I love, little girls
They make me feel so bad

When they're around
They make me feel
Like I'm the only guy in town

I love, little girls
They make me feel so good

They don't care if I'm a one-way mirror
They're not frightened by my cold exterior

They don't, ask me questions
They don't, want to scold me
They don't, look for answers
They just, want to hold me

Isn't this fun?
Isn't this what life's all about?
Isn't this a dream come true?
Isn't this a nightmare too?

Oh, oh, oh I love little girls
They make me feel so good
I love, little girls
They make me feel so, bad

When they're around
They make me feel
Like I'm the only guy in town

I love, little girls
They make me feel so, good

They don't care about my inclinations
They're not frightened by my revelations

Uh oh (uh oh), take a second (take a second)
Uh oh (uh oh), it's a mistake (it's a mistake)
Uh oh (uh oh), I'm in trouble (I'm in trouble)
Uh oh (uh oh), the little girl was just too little
Too little, too little, too little, too little

Isn't this what life's all about?
Isn't this a dream come true?
Isn't this a nightmare too?

And I don't care, what people say
And I don't care, what people think
And I don't care, how I look
When I'm down my street

They make me feel so--
I love, little girls

They don't care if I'm a one-way mirror
They don't care about my cold exterior

They don't (they don't), ask me questions (ask me questions)
They don't (they don't), want to scold me (want to scold me)
They don't (they don't), look for answers (look for answers)
They just (they just), want to hold me (want to hold me)

Uh oh (uh oh), I'm in trouble (I'm in trouble)
Uh oh (uh oh), the little girls was just too little
Too little, too little, too little, too little
Too little, too little, too little, too little

Isn't this what life's all about?
Isn't this a dream come true?
Isn't this a nightmare too?

Oh, oh, oh, I, I, I love little girls
They make me feel so good
I love, little girls
They make me feel so, bad

When they're around
They make me feel
Like I'm the only guy in town

I love (I love), little girls

They make me feel so good
I love

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Oingo Boingo's song "Little Girls" may be considered controversial and disturbing, but they also strongly convey a sense of obsession, confusion and delusion about the subject of the song. The main character confesses his love for young girls and claims that they make him feel good and bad at the same time. He also reveals that when little girls are around him, he feels like he's the only guy in town. The lyrics suggest that the singer is a voyeur and possibly a pedophile, who sees young girls as innocent and pure, and who cannot resist their charm and allure.

Throughout the song, the singer admits that little girls don't care about his personality, his looks or his motives, and all they want is to hold him. He also argues that people's opinions and judgments don't matter to him, and that he will continue to love and be attracted to little girls, despite the societal taboos and the consequences he may face. The song ends with the singer realizing that he has gone too far and that his obsession has put him in trouble, as he refers to the little girl he pursued as being too little.

Rick Pontificates

I was there. That was my HS. But at that time, I didn’t know what the hell Oingo Boingo was. I just remember a band playing with a big banner displayed. LITTLE DID I KNOW what a great composer Danny Elfman would become!

Teemo Teemo :3

Do you remember how other students reacted to their music in the highschool?

Shari Meline

I was there too.

Super rad, the fact that this performance predates Only a Lad is super cool!

Strange Wayfaring Stranger

Yeah and this is a really, really good live version too. Sounds very close to the album.
