Desprecias mis besos
Un cariño verdadero
Sin mentiras ni maldad
El amor cuando es sincero
Se encuentra lo mismo
En las torres de un castillo
Nada me importa que critiquen
La humildad de mi cariño
El dinero no es la vida
Es tan solo vanidad
Y aunque ahora no me quieras
Yo sé que algún día
Me darás con tu cariño
Toda la felicidad
Nada me importa que critiquen
La humildad de mi cariño
El dinero no es la vida
Es tan solo vanidad
Y aunque ahora no me quieras
Yo sé que algún día
Me darás con tu cariño
Toda la felicidad
The lyrics of Olimpo Cardenas's song Quinto Patio convey a message of true love and the rejection that can come with living in poverty. The first verse describes how the singer's love interest despises their kisses because they live in the fifth courtyard, which is likely a reference to a low-income or working-class neighborhood. However, the singer insists that their love is genuine and free of lies or malice.
The second verse goes on to emphasize that true love can be found in any setting, regardless of social status or wealth. The singer does not care if others criticize the simplicity of their love, as they believe that money and material possessions are ultimately meaningless. They express a hopeful attitude towards their relationship, despite their current rejection, and believe that their love will eventually bring them happiness.
The overall message of the song is that love and happiness are not dependent on external conditions, such as wealth or social status, but rather on the sincerity and depth of one's feelings for another person.
