Hot like the sun
Wet like the rain
Green like the leaves
Life is a game

Stars in my head
Shine Moon shine
Everything's cool
And I feel fine!

Can you touch
The root that feeds us?
Can you hear
The words that I say?
Can you feel
The music move you?
Can you feel alive today?

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Omnia's song "Alive" celebrate the joy and beauty of life. The opening lines describe different aspects of nature - the sun, rain, and leaves - which are all needed for life to thrive. This is followed by the singer expressing a feeling of contentment and happiness - the stars and the moon shine, everything is cool, and they feel fine. The chorus then poses a series of questions about being in touch with the natural world - can you touch the root that feeds us, can you hear the words that I say, can you feel the music move you, can you feel alive today? These questions are repeated throughout the song, highlighting the importance of being connected to nature and feeling alive.

The song's bridge includes a chorus of "Vana Dea," which is a reference to a pre-Christian goddess of nature and fertility. The lyrics ask the listener to dance for this goddess and hail her as the goddess of spring. The song then returns to the chorus, asking once again if the listener can touch the root that feeds us, hear the words, feel the music, and feel alive. The final verse describes feeling strong and free, with nothing to lose or gain - just running wild, again and again.

Overall, "Alive" is a celebration of life and nature, encouraging listeners to enjoy the world around them and feel connected to it. The references to Vana Dea and the pre-Christian goddess tradition add a layer of spirituality and reverence for the natural world.
