2. Omnia is an electronic dance music producer, his track Stick in monday was featured in the Trance Mix Mission Podcast.
Man behind it all, is Evgeny Smirnov. Born in 1987, he would grow up with a diverse taste in music, loving and exploring the beauty of different genres. In the 90’s, he turned his passion for EDM into a hobby and started toying around with producing programs. After discovering trance music, Evgeny knew which path to follow and started developing his sound into this direction.
At the end of 2006, when Evgeny was only 20 years old, he concentrated on creating his own, quality tracks and saw big names like Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Above & Beyond play his tracks and remixes on the radio and during gigs. Remixes on ‘Ørjan Nilsen – La Guitarra’ and ‘Armin van Buuren feat. Jacqueline Govaert – Never Say Never’ put Omnia’s name on the map.

I can talk to the trees but I don't speak Human
Got a heart full of Earth and a head full of Sky
I got Spirit Drum Wolf Claw Raven's Eye
Crazy Man
I'm a Crazy Man
Crazy Man
Howling at the moon
Float on the breeze
What I respect you just can't see
I know, I know nothing
To be is to be
Shaman or Madman, it's all Heyokay with me
I'm walking backwards
And I'm talking coyote
I'm gonna scream so loud
I can't her all the monkeys
Now society is so fucking free of me
I've got a Chaos Hand
And it's pointing right at you
I know, I know one thing
To play is to be
Shaman or Madman
It's all Heyokay with you
The song "Crazy Man" by Omnia is a celebration of spirituality and a rejection of modern societal norms. The singer describes himself as a primitive caveman who can communicate with nature but doesn't understand human speech. He has a heart full of earth and a head full of sky, which suggests a deep connection to the natural world and a more holistic view of life. He also has a Spirit Drum, Wolf Claw, and Raven's Eye, which are all symbols of shamanism and spiritual power.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "Crazy Man," which is likely a reference to the Native American concept of the Heyoka, a sacred clown who challenges societal norms and conventions. The singer is proud to be a Crazy Man or Heyoka, and he howls at the moon and floats on the breeze, reveling in his connection to the natural world. He knows that what he values and respects cannot be seen by others who are blinded by modern thinking.
The second verse of the song reinforces the rejection of societal norms, as the singer walks backwards and talks like a coyote. He screams so loud that he can't hear the monkeys, which may be a reference to the phrase "monkey mind," a Buddhist term for the restless, unsettled thoughts that plague many people. The singer is free from society's expectations and has a Chaos Hand that is pointing at those who remain constrained by convention. Ultimately, the song suggests that being a shaman or a madman is all the same, as both reject societal norms and embrace a greater, more holistic view of the world.
