Please, instead of putting the younger generation down, take the time & share this kind of music with your young ones. You'll be surprised. Some of them won't take to it quickly. Some won't take to it at all. But others, who have a spirit that transcends generational lines, will pick it up & run with it. And they'll be grateful that you shared it with them. When this is played in your household, they will appreciate it. My Dad played Everything from Rare Earth, The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, James Brown, Beethoven, you name it. He's been a drummer for over 60 years. Children usually appreciate what they are exposed to( positive or negative). Even rappers of Today and back then. I was fortunate enough to have parents that were Not only into the structural form of education but into Music and The Arts too. There is a balance. I know everyone is Not as fortunate. Even Today. You're right to " A certain extent"

Osborn had a very different sound on this track, because it was overdubbed/remixed by Lvan of Paradise Garage NYC, using the same classic analog synthesizer and drum machines that were all over underground and commercial NYC productions the first half of the 80s before house music.

I played music and sung all the way through junior high school (now called middle-school) to my second year in college. I have children. I understand the music they listen to today. Most of us dropped the ball. We didn't pass on this great heritage (our music) to our children's generation. Now, they don't know music (i.e. how to play instruments or sing), that's why they have to sample old-school music. And most of them will never learn real music. My heart breaks for them.
