In 1974 and 1975, she recorded for Avco Records, and, in 1981, recorded for Plantation Records, her most recent record label. Page's most recent single to appear on any Billboard chart was the 1982 #80 country single, "My Man Friday". (She last appeared on the pop chart in 1968, with her version of O.C. Smith's hit, "Little Green Apples", and on the Adult Contemporary chart with "Give Him Love" in 1971.)
Page made the country chart in up to 1983, with her biggest hit during that time being "Hello, We're Lonely," a 1973 #14 duet with Tom T. Hall.
In the 1990s, Page started her own label, C.A.F. Records. In 1998, she won a Grammy as "Best Traditional Pop Singer". Page continued to record into the new millenium with the CDs BRAND NEW TENNESSEE WALTZ, SWEET SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS (2002), CHILD OF MINE (2003) and her last 2009 release BEST OF COUNTRY. Many of her songs have a strong beat to them that prelude rock 'n' roll. These titles include "Mister and Mississippi", "Detour" and "Cross Over the Bridge". In 1956, she married choreographer Charles O'Curran. They adopted two children, a daughter, Kathleen, and a son, Daniel O'Curran.
Crazy Arms
Patti Page Lyrics

And the storm's are brewing in this heart of mine
This ain't no crazy dream, I know that it's real
You're someone else's love now, you're not mine.
Crazy arms that reach to hold somebody new
For my yearning heart keeps saying, you're not mine
My troubled mind knows soon, to another you'll be wed
So please take the treasured dreams I had for you and me
And take all the love I thought was mine
Some day my crazy arms may hold somebody new
But now I'm so lonely all the time.
Oh, crazy arms that reach to hold somebody new
For my yearning heart keeps saying, you're not mine
My troubled mind knows soon, to another you'll be wed
And that's why I'm lonely all the time...
In Patti Page's song Crazy Arms, the singer is trying to come to terms with the fact that the person they love is with someone else. This creates a sense of emotional turmoil that is conveyed in the lyrics. The opening lines, "Now blue, ain't the word for the way that I feel / And the storm's are brewing in this heart of mine," illustrate the sadness and anxiety that the singer is experiencing.
Despite the fact that the singer knows that their love interest is no longer available, their heart still yearns for them, as seen in the lines "Crazy arms that reach to hold somebody new / For my yearning heart keeps saying, you're not mine." The repetition of "you're not mine" emphasizes the sense of loss and rejection that the singer is feeling. The final lines of the song, "But now I'm so lonely all the time," encapsulate the emotional pain that the singer is struggling with.
Overall, Crazy Arms is a poignant portrayal of unrequited love and heartbreak. The lyrics express the singer's sense of loss and longing, while the melody reinforces the sad and wistful tone of the song.
