Every Time I Die
Pavic Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Do you wanna play my game?
Do you wanna play my game?
Just every time I die
I wanna spit it out
Because I know somehow
As long as you let 'em go
Some want to bring me down
And make me fell ashamed
Guilt shouldn't be a brand
Is it worth to live like that?
Do you wanna play my game?
Now's the time to leave the blame
It's time to draw a line
I take what's real to live again
Just every time I die
It's just a waste of time
Misunderstanding life
Everyone makes mistakes
Don't throw it all away
So don't try to feed the blame
Or it will grow again
Trusting someone who's tried
You'll be the next in line
So I do it by my self
Now's the time to leave the blame
It's time to draw a line
I take what's real to live again
Just every time I die
Life is not a bed of nails
Cuz I will never gonna drop
Fake smiles with forked tongues
Lives a cycle never stopped
They will never gonna crop
They will not forgive no more
They will never heal your pain for sure
Can you play my game
Now's the time to leave the blame
It's time to draw a line
I take what's real to live again
Just every time I die
Now's the time to leave the blame
I take what's real to live again
The opening lines of PAVIC's "Every Time I Die" pose a question that sounds like a challenge - "Do you wanna play my game?" It suggests that maybe PAVIC has been pushed to the brink, and that this game has high stakes. He repeats the phrase "just every time I die," as if to emphasize the fact that he has been brought back to life before, having survived whatever it is he is referring to.
In the second verse, PAVIC seems to be talking about learning from his mistakes. He wants to spit out whatever is causing him pain, and he thinks that mistakes can help us grow, as long as we learn from them. He seems to be alluding to some kind of judgment or shame that is being bestowed upon him, but he doesn't necessarily feel like he deserves it. Rather, he suggests that we shouldn't let guilt define us.
In subsequent verses, PAVIC continues to implore us to let go of our regrets and hurts. He says that life is not a bed of nails, but it can feel like one if we keep dwelling on the pain. He also talks about not letting others feed us blame, and the importance of trusting ourselves.
Overall, "Every Time I Die" seems to be a song about getting back up when you've been knocked down. It's a message that can resonate with anyone who has been through difficult times, and reminds us that we have the power to draw a line and take control of our lives.
