Is War the Answer?
Pavic Lyrics

IS WAR THE ANSWER?

I'm feeling like I'm praying
But you don't hear me again
And I'm still looking for answers
My war is not more here
My faith has disappeared
Nobody's found any savior

My hands are full of blood
To beat them to save them
And my life has come undone

Is war the answer?
Now I'm in the hell you pushed me through
Is war the answer?
There's still something left to loose

I wish that I could say
That I'm still here to save
But I'm just going to nowhere
And I realize
That the truth
Was the first
In line... the first to die
Out alone
For too long
No more tears to cry
Save me

But My hands are full of blood
No future to show them
And my soul is screaming

Is war the answer?
Now I'm in the hell you push me through
Is war the answer?
I kill for a lie you said is true
Is war the answer?
Now who's to pay for what is done
Is war the answer?
There's still something left to loose

Is war the answer?
Now I'm in the hell you push me through
Is war the answer?
I kill for a lie you said is true
Is war the answer?
And now who's to pay for what is done

Is war the answer?
There's still something I can do

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of PAVIC's "Is War the Answer?" reflect the sentiments of someone who is struggling with the aftermath of a violent conflict. The person is lamenting the loss of their faith and the absence of any sort of salvation or help. They are also grappling with the consequences of their actions, as their hands are "full of blood" and their life has "come undone." Yet, despite this, they still find themselves questioning whether war is truly the answer to the problems they are facing or if there is still something left to lose, something worth fighting for.

Throughout the lyrics, the person acknowledges the futility of war and the destruction it brings, but they also recognize the difficult truth that sometimes, violence is the only solution we are provided with. They ask whether the false promises of those in power are worth the lives lost and the damage caused, and question who will ultimately pay the price for the choices that have been made. In the end, though, they still hold out hope that there is something they can do, some way to make things right.

"Every good change starts from a question and for what we think, war is never the right answer. There's no winner when someone dies. Nothing of good comes from destruction and suffering. This song is trying to be something like a wake-up call, a food for thought about the fact that violence is never a valid answer to our problems. Maybe we all should find a new way of thinking. Don't you all think that it would be great to change, to grow, to evolve in something better, something new? A brave new world where we could live unscared or even better, unscarred?"
