Peace Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It's hard to catch your eyeline when you're staring into space
Turn and run, the time has come to slowly walk away
Some say separate pathways sometimes turn and meet again
It's a lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely life
But only for a moment at a time
This was not how fate intended
I hope someday you find someone to love
Truth be told that we grow old to live without regret
Stop and stare, pretend to care, remember you'll forget
Looking back at photographs
Gorgeous, young and white and black
Perfect skin, pure within, but heaven wouldn't let you in
It's a lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely life
But only for a moment at a time
This was not how fate intended
But it's how it ended up
I hope someday you find someone to love
It's a lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely life
But only for a moment at a time
This was not how fate intended
But it's how it ended up
I hope someday you find someone to love
Peaky-eyed goodbyes should be reserved for those more brave
It's to be our history, the final memory made
Haunting is the thought that lingers long after you go
Maybe all this happened so the both of us could grow
The song "Someday" by Peace is a reflection on the passage of time and the inevitability of change. The lyrics describe the feeling of loneliness and the difficulty in letting go of relationships that have run their course. The opening line, "Every season time dictates that something has to change," speaks to the natural cycles in life and the need to adapt to new situations.
The second verse looks at the idea of growing old without regret and realizing that some memories will fade over time. The line "Gorgeous, young and white and black, perfect skin, pure within, but heaven wouldn't let you in" is a commentary on the fleeting nature of beauty and the fact that it does not last forever.
The chorus repeats the line "It's a lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely life" and emphasizes that although loneliness is a part of life, it is only temporary. The final line "I hope someday you find someone to love" is a message of hope and encouragement to the listener.
Overall, "Someday" is a poignant reflection on the complexities of relationships and the passage of time. The lyrics are deeply introspective and encourage the listener to embrace change and appreciate the fleeting nature of life.

Why do people always get upset about someone using another bands sound or chorus or what not. It just shows how inspired they were by that band. It shows how much they respect that band for those lyrics or sound.
