Merrill Nisker (born 1966 in Toronto), better known as Peaches, is an electroclash artist whose songs are mainly focused on sexuality. She lives and works in Berlin, Germany. She plays almost all the instruments for her songs, programs her own electronic beats, and produces her records.
Peaches' music is preoccupied with gender identity. Her lyrics and live shows self-consciously blur the distinction between male and female: she appears on the cover of her second album Fatherfucker with a full beard; when asked if she had chosen the title for shock value, she commented:
"Why do we call our mothers motherfuckers? Why do we stub our toe and say "Aww motherfucker!"? What is motherfucker? ...We use it in our everyday language and it's such an insanely intense word. I'm not one to shy away from these obscene terms that we actually have in our mainstream. Motherfucker is a very mainstream word. But if we're going to use motherfucker, why don't we use fatherfucker? I'm just trying to be even."
She refutes accusations of 'penis envy', preferring the term 'hermaphrodite envy', since "there is so much male and female in us all". Nevertheless, she does not shy away from identifying herself as a sexual being, although she rejects the sanitised portrayal of women in popular music.
Although she does not hold a teaching degree, she taught at private schools before her career in music.
Fancypants Hoodlum released in 1995 was released under her birth name Merrill Nisker
Members of her band are known as The Herms - JD Samson, Radio Sloan, Samantha Maloney.
Her songs have been featured in movies such as Mean Girls, My Little Eye, Lost in Translation, Waiting, and Jackass: Number Two. Her music has also been featured on Showtime's The L Word television series. Peaches performed guest vocals on P!nk's album Try This, on the song "Oh My God". Her lyrics are discussed as part of the Queer Studies course curriculum at the University Of Toronto, and she has been invited to lecture at the Contemporary Music Academy in Berlin. Her most notorious song, "Fuck The Pain Away", is also the name of an Electro night in Brighton.

Ready for the takeover.
Just follow me
I got the plan
Don't worry
You're doing the right thing
I'm a pumped up, souped up renegade
My love shoots like a hand grenade
I'm the first one on this panty raid
Gonna stop my horsey kid parade
Wanna be part of local brigade
Never cost more than penny arcade
Forget that lady marmalade
I'll fix you some peach lemonade
You wanna stick it
I wanna stick it
Bet you thought I was gonna say in
But im not
You wanna stick it
I wanna stick it
We wanna stick it
Stick it to the pimp
You wanna stick it
I wanna stick it
We wanna stick it
(say goodbye mac daddy
Time to cry wack laddy
Nice try saddy saddy
You just bitches and booze) x2
Drop your drawers
All you male whores
We're gonna
Stick it to the pimp
You wanna stick it
I wanna stick it
We wanna stick it
Stick it to the pimp
You wanna stick it
I wanna stick it
We wanna stick it
Stick it to the pimp
You're gonna have to sell your suits
You're gonna give me all your loot
Suck it up and find the booze
You're gonna give me all the loot
You're gonna have to kiss my ring
You're gonna have to ring my bell
You're gonna have to do these things
Don't ding-a-ling
Just go to hell
You wanna stick it
You wanna stick it
I wanna stick it
We wanna stick it (stick it)
You wanna stick it
I wanna stick it
We wanna stick it
Stick it to the pimp
(you can pat my ben
Pat my ben
Pat my ben
Pat my ben-tar) [Repeat: x3]
You can pat my ben (you better run)
Pat my ben (you better hide)
Pat my ben(you better leave)
Pat my ben-tar
Pissed in your pimp cup
Drink up
Pissed in your pimp cup so lets get it up
You wanna stick it
I wanna stick it
We wanna stick it
Stick it to the pimp
Say goodbye mac
Drink up
Say goodbye mac
So lets get it up
Kiss my ring and ring my bell
Don't ding-a-ling
Just go to hell
The song "Stick It To The Pimp" by Peaches is a bold and rebellious anthem advocating for the liberation of women from the oppressive and exploitative sex industry. The lyrics are a clear indication of the anger and frustration felt by women who are forced into prostitution and how they are being controlled by pimps. The song urges women to unite against the pimps and take control of their lives. Peaches adds that women who join the cause will not be doing anything wrong but doing the right thing.
The song starts with a call for action and a willingness to take over. Peaches then affirms that she has a plan and urges her listeners not to worry because they are doing the right thing. The chorus then follows, emphasizing the need to stick it to the pimp. Peaches then describes herself as a pumped-up, souped-up renegade, whose love is explosive like a hand grenade. She talks about how women can be involved in the movement and not cost more than a penny arcade, unlike being a part of the mainstream sex industry. In the later part of the song, Peaches describes the rebellion against the pimp and the need for the male sex workforce to drop their drawers for the women who are taking charge.
Overall, "Stick It To The Pimp" is an empowering song about women taking control of their bodies and breaking free from the clutches of the sex industry. It encourages women to come together to support each other and resist oppression.
