It had been five years since the fans of Mike Patton had first heard of the Peeping Tom project and the growing anticipation soon turned into skepticism, for fear the project would never see the light of day. Fans were also teased with the leaking of demos some of which were nearly identical to the finished product.
"I'd send out a track and start working on something else," said Patton, explaining the Peeping Tom delay. "You don't sit around for the mailman to come, you work on other shit. And that's what I did. It was really something I worked on over a period of several years that was in the background of my life."
Patton describes Peeping Tom as his take on pop music: "I don't listen to the radio, but if I did, this is what I'd want it to sound like. This is my version of pop music. In a way, this is an exercise for me: taking all these things I've learned over the years and putting them into a pop format. I've worked with many people who have said to me, 'oh you have a pop record in you, eventually you'll find it,' and I always laughed at them. I guess I owe them an apology."
There are at least more three bands with the name Peeping Tom:

3) Biography from http://en.elektrolink.com/artists/djs_composers/peeping_tom/ :
Step by step, the ever-changing collective Peeping Tom is building a galaxy of its own in the world of electro. A fascinating constellation revolving around the hard core of Vincent Haenni and Gabriel Scotti has recently been observed: live scores for synthesized images and real time projections, soundscapes accompanying public readings by French actor Carlo Brandt , electro-dub performances, completed by an interactive website where the visitors can try their hands at the genre. Plus, of course, a first CD (ICare/Saturn Split/db32). And now, Liquid Sand, taking the listener to the borders of elegant and sensual downbeat music, where twelve new planets are unveiled. Visiting various musical styles (jazz, ambient, dub) as well as literary genres (from the Great French poets to a 1970s cookbook for the American housewife), Peeping Tom does not just sample the finest elements thereof. Like a giant cosmic reactor would turn sand into liquid, the duo amalgamates the components to an amazing degree of perfection. Yet, the result is never sterile, each of the twelve tracks being on the contrary a rich and welcoming biosphere. They now await your visit. Peeping Tom Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
This feeling has a thousand limbs, all the hers and his
Tell me do you like it? (I like it)
Too big to fit in this skin, this skin I'm in
Because I'm a lover
Breathe out, breathe in!
I won't live like the dead, come to life again
For the first time I open my eyes and feel alive
That's cuz I'm a lover
We're not alone in this psychodrome, but I know that I don't want to lose you
Living the dream, if you know what I mean, and I'll be that boy you used to know
I'm not alone, I've got this microphone, and you know that I ain't gonna fool you
Be that king, try to be that queen and you wouldn't save it!
(A lover)
(A lover)
Open me like a door, a flower or a book, a cloud when it rains
(A lover)
There's nobody in the streets, or in their homes
Just skies and window panes
Breathe out, breathe in!
Got to sack this poisoned feeling, let my mind be clean
Because I'm a lover (A lover)
Dreaming won't heal, here's a clue
I am here for you, I'll be your provider
We're not alone in this psychodrome, but I know that I don't want to lose you
Afraid of the wars behind closed doors where I'm just a baby in your arms
I'm not alone, I've got this microphone, and you know that I ain't gonna fool you
We watch TV, read a magazine, just to keep our minds erased
Keep our minds erased!
We're not alone in this psychodrome, but I know that I don't want to lose you
Our love is made like a Starbucks chain, and we're taking over this neighborhood!
We're not alone in this psychodrome, and I know that I don't want to lose you
We're living the dream if you know what I mean, and I'll be that boy you used to know
We're not alone in this psychodrome, and I know that I don't want to lose you
Afraid of the wars, behind closed doors where I'm just a baby in your arms
We're not alone
Not alone
(I don't wanna lose you)
The lyrics of Peeping Tom's "We're Not Alone" convey the idea that love can make one feel alive and connected in a world that can often feel lonely and disconnected. The singer declares that they are a lover and that this feeling has a thousand limbs, referring to the ability of love to connect people in many different ways. The repeated refrain of "breathe out, breathe in" creates a sense of urgency and desire to break free from feeling dead inside and come back to life through the power of love. The song also touches on themes of fear and the need for a safe space, with the singer declaring that they don't want to lose their lover and describing themselves as a "baby" in their arms. The lyrics convey a sense of hope that love, music, and the imagination can connect people and provide a respite from the harsh realities of the outside world.

It seems that no one on the internet actually knows the lyrics, so I thought I'd go ahead and post them here. Lol I mean, it's easily one of the most beautiful songs of the past several decades, so I feel like it would be even better and hit even harder, if people understood what Mike was actually saying. It's more relevant now than ever. ❤️
