In the early days their work included mainly covers from acts like Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, and other synthpop legends.
Three years later (and after gaining serious proficiency on Cubase while attempting to write their own material) the friends were introduced to Lars who was just finishing school and coincidentally was looking to perform some songs at his own graduation party. That’s how they decided to join forces and seize the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. And so they did... they had their first chance to play covers of songs from Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, REM, and even their own music!
They enjoyed their first gig so much that they decided to continue working together and write brand new material.
As time passed by, Drazen and Lars seemed to artistically connect, they would spend nights playing REM and brit-pop covers, and as they continued collaborating the project began to turn a bit more acoustic, with a much greater emphasis on guitar sounds... This may have prompted Drazen's friend to leave the band in June 1995 to start a project of his own.
It was a turning point for Perfidious Words. Drazen and Lars had to pull all their resources together in order to begin making their own recordings. They worked hard to attain the electronic equipment that allowed them to produce their first demos.
The first demos emerged in 1996, and the band did not waste any time in submitting them to as many record companies as they could. The feedback was tremendous. That is why Trisol Music Group, which was one of the first record labels to respond, signed them immediately.
And so in 1997 they finally were able to records their first EP ‚Ruined’ which was released in October of that year. Several CDs were released after that from 1998 to 2000, including 'It means a lot to me', 'Welt', and 'Zwischen Zeitrausch und Leben'.
In 2001 the sold-out 'Hydrogen Skies' was re-released as 'Hydrogen Skies+', containing bonus material such as b-sides and remixes of previous hits.
Four years after the release of their debut CD their eagerly awaited second album 'Spreading Silence' followed in April 2002. The quality of their music, insightful lyrics, their creativity and powerful melodies are the cause of the continuous growth of their fan base around the globe.
After a long period their next strike was finished. In September 2003 Perfidious Words released their mini-album 'Breaking The Silence' which included remixes by Infekktion, Tom Wax, Sero.Overdose, B!Machine, and many more. It also featured a new track in various versions and a Björk remake.
And the best is yet to come...

Feel Like Me
Perfidious Words Lyrics

I never thought
That we would come undone
My heart was lying in your hands
You let it bleed
When I was at your feet
If you could feel like me
We would be whole again
And you would ease my pain
Up from your pedestal
You watched me fall apart
I suffered patiently
It's hurting to be me
Feel like me
Bleed like me
Feel like me
To all the ones who'll never leave
'Cause you're too scared
Of what your lives may bring
Don't cling to lovers who forgot
You are the ones
You are worth dying for
If you could bleed like me
Were put through misery
Then you would understand
What counts and who I am
Feel like me
Feel like me
Bleed like me
Feel like me
Feel like me
Feel like me
Feel like me
The lyrics of "Feel Like Me" by Perfidious Words express the pain that comes with a broken relationship. The singer talks about how they never thought that they would come undone after all they have been through. Their heart was in the hands of their lover, but the lover let it bleed and didn't care when the singer was at their feet. The singer goes on to say that if their lover could feel like them, see all the things they see, then they would be whole again, and the lover would be able to ease their pain. However, the lover was on a pedestal watching the singer fall apart, and the singer suffered patiently. The chorus is a plea for the lover to feel like the singer, bleed like them, and understand the singer's pain.
The song also has a message for those who cling to lovers who have forgotten them. The singer urges such people not to be scared of what life may bring and not to cling onto someone who doesn't value them. The singer goes on to say that if such people could bleed like them and go through the same misery, then they would understand who the singer is and what counts in life.
Overall, "Feel Like Me" is a powerful song that speaks to the heart of anyone who has been in a broken relationship or has clung onto someone who didn't care for them.
