It's Easy To Remember
Perry Como Lyrics

The way you looked when we met,
It's easy to remember, but so hard to forget!
I hear you whisper, "I'll always love you,"
I know it's over, and yet,
It's easy to remember, but so hard to forget!
Fingers press me tight,
I'd rather dream than have that lonely feelin'
Stealing through the night!
Each little moment is clear before me,
And though it brings me regret,
It's easy to remember, and so hard to forget!
It's easy to remember, and so hard to forget!
The Perry Como song "It's Easy to Remember" is a melancholic ballad about love and how difficult it can be to let go of someone you cared deeply about. The lyrics describe the vivid memories of a relationship, with the singer recalling their beloved's sweet expression, smile, and the way they looked when they first met. These memories have stayed with the singer, making it both easy to remember and hard to forget.
The song goes on to describe a whispered declaration of love from the beloved, even though it's clear that the relationship has ended. The singer acknowledges that they must dream about their former lover in order to feel close to them, rather than feeling lonely and abandoned. Each moment of their love is crystal clear in the singer's mind, even though it brings regret and heartache.
Overall, the song is a poignant exploration of the lasting impact of love, even after it has ended. It's a testament to the power of memory and how hard it can be to move on from someone who has touched our lives so deeply.
