Like Someone in Love
Perry Como Lyrics

I find myself out gazin' at stars,
Hearing guitars,
Like someone in love
Sometimes
The things I do astound me,
Mostly
Lately
I seem to walk, as though I had wings,
Bump into things,
Like someone in love
Each time I look at you,
I'm limp as a glove,
An' feelin' like someone in love
I bump into things,
Like someone in love
Each time I look at you,
I'm limp as a glove,
An' feelin' like someone in love
In Perry Como's song Like Someone in Love, Como finds himself entranced by the presence of another person, likely a lover or romantic interest. He describes feeling overwhelmed and awed by their company, to the point where he finds himself stumbling and walking as though he has wings. He compares himself to someone in love, and the euphoria he experiences when he's with this person is so intoxicating that it makes him feel like he's floating on air.
The lyrics convey the sense of elation and joy that can come from experiencing love or infatuation, and Como's voice lends a dreamy, enchanting quality to the song. The use of star imagery and the mention of guitars contribute to the romantic and whimsical tone, while the singer's clumsiness and dizziness convey the dizzying, intoxicating feeling of falling in love.
Overall, Like Someone in Love is a lush, romantic song that captures the feeling of being swept away by love or desire. Como's tender vocals and the song's dreamy instrumentation make for a beautiful and evocative listening experience.
