1. Peter Edward Cook (17 November 1937 – 9 January 1995) was an English satirist, writer and comedian who is widely regarded as the leading figure in the British satire boom of the 1960s. He has been described by Stephen Fry as "the funniest man who ever drew breath." Cook is closely associated with an anti-establishment style of comedy that first emerged in the late 1950s.
2. Peter Cook is Dutch singer and songwriter Peter Kok from The Hague, The Netherlands, who had six Dutch Top 20 hits and enjoyed some modest international glory in the early 1970s as part of Greenfield & Cook. Following the split of the duo in 1974, Kok embarked on a solo career that yielded no further chart hits. He continued to use Cook as his second name, a literal translation of his real family name, Kok. He participated in the 1977 Dutch Song Contest with the song 'Pinokkio' and later moved to Chile, where he became a succesful record label executive and music entrepreneur.

Pure improvisation.
Cook made this up second to second.
Genius comedy!
peter morningsnow
Yes, his improvisation thrives the more on listening. Whereas Chris Morris writes his ideas out before and drives to the point. They're both impressive, but the one who scrambles in the moment, and comes up with something brilliant, is the more obviously impressive.

The lightning response of Honda was absolute perfection

Peter Cook might be the most naturally gifted comic ever, 57 years old here and still the sharpest improv.

Oh my word this really is the funniest thing I’ve ever heard. I discovered it years ago and keep coming back.
stravinskyrocks
Cook was a genius. You can feel him doing a quick WTF? when Morris ambushes him with with the petrified Christ, but then Peter bounces it back at him and extemporizes on it brilliantly.
Simon Collett
"Extemporizes". A perfectly cromulant word if ever I heard one.

- It's quite an interesting anecdote. - It sounds REALLY DULL to me! Both comics are so quick at reacting to each other's curve-balls. This series was almost completely unscripted or rehearsed.
