The complete series has been released on a CD by the BBC. Cook received the sole writing credit whilst Morris also produced the series.
Morris played a variation on the abrasive interviewer character he had perfected on The Day Today, cleverly prompting Cook into some of his best work. The short pieces provide further insights into the Streeb-Greebling character that Cook had created for Not Only... But Also in 1965. Topics of conversation include Streeb-Greebling's work with eels, his role in the racial violence following the Rodney King trial, his military career and his habit of strangling his business partners. The listener learns that Streeb-Greebling was put in prison by his father at the age of four and hears of his next project: cloning from the fossilised remains of the infant Christ with the assistance of BMW, Honda and Sony.

Finally, the official funniest man who ever lived gets an interviewer worthy of his talents. This is the comedy version of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee jamming together in Sun Studios - two absolute titans of comedy bouncing off each other. Utterly timeless.
@NormanArches
A mate gave me a tape of this about 10 or 12 years ago (I was a huge fan of both of them but had no idea they´d done this, so I was over the moon to discover it) and lawks, does it live up to expectations. As Harry Thompson said in his biog of Cook, Morris was one of the few comedians of the time disrespectful enough to have pulled it off. This is genuine comedic genius. I´ve listened to these same recordings for almost 15 years now and they never get any less funny. How did Peter Cook do it??

The old guard passing the baton on to the new in my opinion. 2 of the finest Englishmen I think I will ever have the pleasure of listening too.
@MrAristaeus

@IOYC
this is the best of the whole series, it's so god damn amazing.

That there are only some nine thousand comments is amazing. Cooke's satire should spread. See, in instance, his exchanges with Luodivc Kennedy - pure brilliance in MHOI & also hear Sven from Swiss Cottage.
