Tragically, I am not surprised how for Maureen McCormick and the other young stars of The Brady Bunch, real life was tough and was not easy. This is because indeed, we do not live in the happy, utopian parallel universe of a TV show such as "Mayberry R.F.D.", "The Partridge Family" and of course "The Brady Bunch". Unfortunately, we live in a tough-as-nails, real life universe, that is just like how it is in the tough--as-nails, parallel universe of "Game of Thrones" and "House of the Dragon" on HBO and MAX! For example, Mike Lookinland who played Bobby Brady, felt he missed out on his childhood because of all the tough pressures that come with being in the show business profession. So as a tragic result, Mike Lookinland got into lot of trouble in his 20's, when he tried to be a kid, as an adult!

However, the reason why "The Brady Bunch" had such a long, original airing run in the early 1970's and is still very popular today in syndication and DVD collections, is because people who like to watch these kinds of happy, fantasy realm, utopian TV shows, wish they could enter a parallel universe portable and go to live in that kind of a utopia. For example, when "The Brady Bunch" originally aired in the early 1970's, the producers of "The Brady Bunch" received letters from kids wanting to move in with the blended Brady family! As for myself, I very much prefer to watch reality TV shows such as "Yellowstone" and the "Yellowstone" spin-offs on Paramount Plus, along with "Game of Thrones" and "House of the Dragon".

I grew up watching The Brady bunch every Friday night on ABC.
It was the whole Friday night lineup Brady bunch Partridge family The odd couple and Love American style.
But knowing what we know from Hollywood from the 1920s and early days of TV and film they treated kids pretty crappy and it was hard I'm sure for these kids to live up to their standards and overnight sensation.
She did attend school in Southern California she went to my brother's high school and she did think she was all that.
Cindy went to my high school. I think all those kids went to different schools so they probably never had a lot of friends only maybe people who wanted to use them. But there is a lot of stories about Marsha and other books and whatnot. But at least she's clean now.

I was never a fan of the Brady Bunch, but still, I find these critiques of old TV shows, interesting. When I was sixteen (around 1966), I considered "The Brady Bunch" to be either for younger kids or someone else's taste. Some of those 60s TV shows seemed corny or boring, and the Brady Bunch fit into both of those categories for me. The different tastes people have in TV sitcoms is fascinating.
