Faccini began his music career in London in the band 'Charley Marlowe', which he fronted alongside the poet Francesca Beard. In 2001, the band ended and Piers started solo work. He writes music for television - notably the BBC docudrama 'Killing Hitler' - as well as painting. His first solo album and EP 'Leave No Trace' came out in 2004.
He has guested on a series of other albums some of which are released on the 'Label-Bleu' label.
His style is rhythmic and melodic. His album is mostly based around acoustic guitar riffs, whereas his earlier music and TV themes reflect his interest in dance music.
He is currently based in France.

Counting down the breathes
Trying not to cheat on time
While pushing back the clock
I've seen the sails blowing at half mast
As the storm began to raise
I've heard the echo of the bells
Sing heart, sing
Sing heart, sing
Sing heart, sing
A river flows in my veins
Crowds were gathered at the waters' edge
While in each face and hand
A million stories there to tell
A tale for every man
I've heard all the answers
But none that fit the question
Is there a way to silence
There's the revelation
Sing heart, sing
Sing heart, sing
Sing heart, sing
A river flows in my veins
Throughout the span of years
The spinning web is made
A-turning looms a-weaving
A veil for the world
I'd keep my eyes closed if I could
I'd block out the day
But I've been waking into dream
Dead and born again
Sing heart, sing
Sing heart, sing
Sing heart, sing
A river flows in my veins
Sing heart, sing
Sing heart, sing
Sing heart, sing
A river flows in my veins
And the blood runs down like rain
A river flows in my veins
The blood runs down like rain
A river flows in my veins
And the blood runs down like rain x6
The lyrics of Piers Faccini's song Uncover My Eyes reveal a deep and introspective look into the nature of time and existential questions about life. The opening lines capture the sense of urgency felt by the singer, who is running and counting down breaths, as if trying to outpace time. The desire to push back the clock is a futile one, as time marches on, leaving only memories and echoes in its wake. This is illustrated by the image of sails blowing at half mast, and the sound of bells ringing in the valleys and hills, marking the passing of time.
The song then turns to the image of crowds gathered at the water's edge, with a million stories to tell. The singer has heard all the answers, but none that fit the question, and is searching for a revelation that will bring clarity and understanding. This theme is echoed in the chorus, where the heart is urged to sing and let out the emotions that are flowing within like a river, as if seeking to break through the veil that separates the individual from the world.
The closing lines bring the song to a powerful resolution, with the image of blood flowing like rain and the river of life that runs through the veins. The singer is waking into a dream, dead and born again, as the spinning web of time weaves its pattern around them, bringing both pain and beauty. The overall effect is a haunting and beautiful reflection on the fragility of life and the search for meaning in an ever-changing world.

Reality seems surreal
Dead and born again
Reborn and starting anew
And the blood runs down like rain

A river flows in my veins
Unending feelings that empower thoughts
The blood runs down like rain
Emotions intensified over time
A river flows in my veins
Feelings that cause reflection and force action
