Both had drummed with Ministry, and were pleased with the notion of a rock music band with two drummers, rather than the usual one. The duo formed Pigface, and began a revolving-door collaboration with many experimentally-minded musicians, many of whom — especially early on — had recorded for the influential industrial music record label Wax Trax.
Trent Reznor was also an early partner, when, due to legal troubles, Nine Inch Nails were prevented from recording under that name. "Suck" — cowritten with and sung by Reznor — was something of an underground hit, and Reznor later rerecorded the song.
Rieflin eventually left Pigface, leaving Atkins in charge. The dozens--perhaps hundreds--of musical collaborators to record and perform with Pigface have ensured that each album, and each song, is unique. This practice has, however, led to some negative criticism due to a perceived lack of continuity.
Pigface concerts are characterized by high-energy performances. Frequently there will be upwards of 10 people on stage at any time during the show. Not only that but Martin Atkins and the rest of the band love interacting with the audience, and members of the audience are nearly always invited on stage for the encore.
Everything

Everything you hate, everything you hurt, I love
Everything you cut, everything you kill, I feel
Everything you burn, every little bribe, I lose
Everything you want, everything you waste, I need
Everything you saw, everything you say, I hear
Everything you make, everything that's mine, I break
Don't you wanna fill every little vein, I do
Don't you wanna suck every little hole, I do
Don't you wanna crave, don't you wanna crawl, I do
Don't you wanna break every little bone, I do
Everything you give, everything you bleed, I need
Everything you hate, everything you hurt, I love
Everything you cut, everything you kill, I feel
Everything you burn, every little bribe, I lose
Every little nail, every little slip, I fail
Every little nail, every little slip, I fail
With every little nail, every little slip, I fail
With every little nail, every little slip, I fail
I fail
The lyrics of "Everything" by Pigface are dark and cryptic, but they seem to depict a deeply emotional and even obsessive relationship. The singer seems to be completely consumed by their partner, everything they do, and everything they feel. The sense of possession and control is palpable, as the singer revels in their partner's pain and even destruction. They seem to crave total immersion in their lover, even if it means their own self-destruction.
The opening lines of the song suggest that the singer craves not only their partner's love and attention but also their very life force. They need everything their partner gives, even if it's painful or destructive. Similarly, the lines about "everything you hate" and "everything you hurt" suggest that the singer takes pleasure in their partner's negative emotions and experiences. The theme of control arises in the line "everything that's mine, I break," indicating that the singer wants to possess everything about their partner, even if it means destroying it.
The final lines of the song are particularly haunting, repeating the phrase "every little nail, every little slip, I fail" over and over again. This could be interpreted as a statement of self-awareness or guilt by the singer, suggesting that their obsession with their partner has led to their own undoing.
Overall, "Everything" is a complex and unsettling depiction of obsession and control in a relationship. The lyrics suggest that the singer is willing to go to great lengths to possess and control their partner, regardless of the consequences to themselves or to their loved one.
