David IS absolutely the best guitarist..I don't care what any "guitar poll" in a magazine says..(obvious bad taste😒) Check out the video someone made for Marooned using Hubble telescope images 🪐( w/ some digital space stuff also)..it's incredible with this amazing piece of music...takes you up in the sky 100 million miles away.🪐

Completely agree with you Rhonda. Just imagine having just a fraction of David Gilmour talent. And imagine if you were able to give just one person such a pleasurable experience. He is a total phenomenon and has given untold musical pleasure to untold millions across the whole world. And he hasn't even been knighted. I am in absolute awe of him.

The guitarist is David Gilmour, The bassist is Roger waters, the Keyboardist is Richard Wright and the drummer is Nick Mason.. put those four men together on a stage and you will get one of the greatest rock band mankind will ever see The PINK FLOYD !(we cannot forget about the great Syd either) Both Roger and David gave their contribution [ aswell as nick and richard ] in the creation of the most godlike music a person could ever hear :) peace dude :)

Oh man... Hearing this just digs deep into my soul. Thanks to my mom I grew up listening to these guys. This happens to be my lullaby at night❤ I could hear this over and over and not get tired of it, I was born to be a pink floyd fan. The way the drums and guitar and keyboard sound OMGOSH... I love that every time Gilmour plays a solo nowadays, the whole crowd just goes absolutely silent and listens as if they were at a concert hall watching an orchestra. They know what fine music is.

esa es la mejor guitarra que tuvo gilmour, el mismo lo dijo. que suena incluso mejor que la black strat. dijo que esa guitarra saca el mejor sonido que puede llegar a tener una fender stratocaster.. lo que me parecio muy raro es que decidio tambien venderla con su lote de guitarras, pense que se la iba a querer quedar.

I love the studio version of this song, it is mind blowing and really touches my soul! i like this live version too, but it sounds so different to me and sometimes boring when compared to the studio one! Don’t get me wrong, different does not mean bad..... it sounds nice, but usually gilmour’s live performances adds a lot compared to studio versions (e.g. comfortably numb live versions, fat old sun, and many others.... ).
I am not talking about the different licks and lines of this version, im talking about the guitar’s timbre that specially in some higher notes does not sound that good (or clean maybe?)... i don’t know if the guitar is a little bit out of tune, or if the whammy pedal is “damaging” the sound (i know the pedal is necessary and it is hard to use! but it sounds weird sometimes in this version.... maybe it is because it was overused? - Who am i to say that?! lol)
