They are influenced by the American alternative rock/post-grunge scene as well as electronic and classical music, the combination of which gives the band their unique sound.
In mid-2006, Mattias left the band after they had decided to alter their sound from pop inspired 90's rock to a harder type of rock. Bandit Rock radio host Peter Kjellin replaced Mattias as bassist.
During autumn of 2007, after releasing their debut single Achilles heel on label Dogmatic, Plan Three supported Takida on their tour. Over the years they have also shared stages with bands such as 3 Doors Down, 30 Seconds to Mars, Paramore, HIM and The Sounds.
In early 2008, drummer Andreas decided to leave the band to pursue different paths in life. A message was published on their Myspace page, looking for a new drummer. Roughly a month later it was made clear that a new drummer had been found - Andreas Henriksson. In 2010, he left the band, and was replaced with Kristoffer Folin.
In August 2008, a single called Triggers was released. At the same time the band announced an upcoming album. In June 2007 yet another single was released, Still Broken. Their début album, titled Screaming our sins was released in November 2009. Late 2011 saw the release of the first of an upcoming trilogy of EPs, The Signal - Part One.

Be Still My Heart
Plan Three Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm waiting to go off
As far away as possible
Before we lose it all
So ordinary
The way it always ends
You won't be coming back for me
Knees to the ground
You should all bow down
It's over now
There's no return
(So I'll just crash and burn)
Now be still my heart
Come on and let me block
(Another heart comes crashing down)
You were all I wanted
But the devils in my head
Won't make this end, right
No, another heart comes crashing down
Truth uncovers
Take your time and tool my head
The inside's unpredictable
The outside's caving in
Fallin' faster
The reason's all the same
A crash is inescapeable
You can stop pretending now
Face to the ground
You should all bow down
It's over now
There's no return
(So I'll just crash and burn)
Now be still my heart
Come on and let me block
(Another heart comes crashing down)
You were all I wanted
But the devils in my head
Won't make this end, right
No, another heart comes crashing down
Fill me up
Break me down
Come on and breathe me
Come on and breathe me
So I'll just crash and burn
Be still my heart
Come on and let me block
(Another heart comes crashing down)
You were all I wanted
But the devils in my head
Won't make this end, right
No, another heart comes crashing down
Ease me
Come on and breathe me
(Another heart comes crashing down)
Ease me
Come on and breathe me
No
The lyrics to Plan Three's song "Be Still My Heart" are a powerful portrayal of internal turmoil and the struggle to let go of a toxic relationship. The verses paint a picture of someone who is on the edge and trying to escape before it's too late. The words "Run for cover, I'm waiting to go off" reveal the singer's fear of losing control, while the line "You won't be coming back for me, let's stop pretending now" shows their acceptance that the relationship is over.
The chorus is particularly poignant, with the repeated phrase "Another heart comes crashing down" hammering home the cycle of pain and heartbreak that seems to be endless. The line "You were all I wanted, but the devils in my head won't make this end right" is a powerful admission that despite their deepest desires, they know that things cannot be fixed.
The bridge of the song is perhaps the most heartfelt, with the singer pleading for release and asking to be filled up, broken down, and breathed in. The repetition of "ease me, come on and breathe me" highlights the need for some sort of relief from the emotional torment they are going through.
Overall, "Be Still My Heart" is a heart-wrenching song that captures the desperation and pain of a broken relationship. It speaks to anyone who has ever clung onto something that was never meant to be, and serves as a reminder that sometimes the bravest thing we can do is let go.
