Their first single, "Chase the Sun", reached number five on the UK Singles Chart in 2001.[1] The song has enjoyed a rise in popularity ever since Sky Sports began using it during its coverage of the Professional Darts Corporation's major tournaments. The crowds in the venues are encouraged to chant and sing along to the song during the commercial breaks of matches, and the song has a cult following amongst darts fans. The song is also known to be chanted by supporters at the games of Australian football clubs Newcastle Jets and Adelaide United, as well as being the second half opening theme for the English Football League Championship team, Sheffield Wednesday. English Championship Football team, Watford F.C. also use the song for a goal song after they score a goal.[2] English Super League team Wigan Warriors are known to use the song following a successful drop-kick. The Melbourne spring racing carnival used the song during promotional TV advertisements during the mid to late 2000s.
Their second single, "Inside All the People", reached no. 9 in the Italian singles charts, but did better on the European dance charts. Their third single was "Who Said (Stuck In The UK)" which also gained significant commercial success. Their 2007 single release, "Static", appeared on FIFA 08.
They are also remixers, with their highest-profile work to date being New Order's "Waiting for the Sirens' Call".
In May 2006 they became the first musical group to release a single exclusively as a mobile phone download, with the release of "Stop Me" on the mobile network 3.[3]
In 2009 they released the single, "Lemonade", which is featured on their album Planet Funk.
During the autumn 2010 the single “Weightless” is due for release in Europe and the US. The song is a cooperation between Planet funk and the swedish artist Emilia de Poret.
Their forthcoming album "The Great Shake", featuring the new lead singer Alex Uhlmann, is set to release during the summer of 2011. The first single, "Another Sunrise" will be released in Italy in May 2011.

Come on inside the sound
I'm steppin' outside myself
Croaking on the underground
But ever high
There you go passin' me by
Like someone dropped you from the clouds
Was it gonna fly?
You'll never know, never know, never know
'Come alive' she said don't go
Don't leave before you know
Don't get it wrong just when you could've got it right
'Come alive' she said don't go
It could be such a beautiful world
Don't get it wrong just when you could've got it right
When you could've got it right
When you could've got it right
Yeah
Steppin' outside the sound
I'm fallin inside myself
Chokin on the underground
Forever high
Always within reach
But runnin' too fast to care
Fakin' it just for now
Was it gonna fly?
You'll never know, never know, never know
'Come alive' she said don't go
Don't leave before you know
Don't get it wrong just when you could've got it right
'Come alive' she said don't go
It could be such a beautiful world
Don't get it wrong just when you could've got it right
When you could've got it right
It's just the same the same the same the same
It's just the same the same the same the same
The lyrics of Planet Funk's song "Come Alive" seem to be about someone who is on the verge of giving up and letting their life pass them by, but a voice encourages them to not give up and take control of their life. The reference to "stepping outside the sound" and "choking on the underground" could represent feeling trapped and suffocated by one's circumstances or the surrounding environment. The repetition of "never know" seems to emphasize the uncertainty and hesitation that the person is feeling, perhaps in regards to taking a risk or pursuing a dream.
The encouragement of the voice is to "come alive" and not miss out on the beauty that life can offer. The reference to "It could be such a beautiful world" highlights the potential for happiness and fulfillment if one takes a chance and doesn't give up. The repetition of "when you could've got it right" serves as a reminder of the regret that can come from not taking action and fulfilling one's potential.
Overall, the lyrics of "Come Alive" seem to encourage listeners to not give up or settle for less, but instead to take control of their lives and pursue their dreams.
