Portishead Lyrics

Oh, can't anybody see
We've got a war to fight
Never found our way
Regardless of what they say
How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment
How can it feel, this wrong

Storm, in the morning light
I feel, no more can I say
Frozen to myself
I got nobody on my side
And surely that ain't right

And surely that ain't right

Oh, can't anybody see
We've got a war to fight
Never found our way
Regardless of what they say
How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment
How can it feel, this wrong

How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment
How can it feel, this wrong

Oh, can't anybody see
We've got a war to fight
Never found our way
Regardless of what they say
How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment
How can it feel, this wrong

I’m 50 now but remember sitting on the back porch drinking coffee after being out all night drinking - wondering if I’d ever get old and being young would be a memory - while listening to this song - Bizarre

This song is 28 years old. For me it looks like 10 years ago. But I'm almost 49 now

Totally relate!

I'm 52 yrs old now, I remember this track & others from the glory days of late night MTV (when it still was a music channel) back in the early 90's.

Btw...I live forever ;p

I'm 23 and I find this one of the classic trip hop tracks ever made

How I loved the 90s. The culture was so varied, so exciting, especially the music. It felt like the days of racism, sexism etc were on their way out, and we were at the beginning of something great for humanity. We were so wrong. I would give anything to be back there at that time.

We were lucky...kind of like the flapper era and maybe the hippy times too. A happy time.
