1) Pray for Rain is a San Francisco, California-based band specializing in film soundtracks, led by St. Louis, Missouri musician Dan Wool. Other members of Pray for Rain are Gary Brown, Paul Trupin (1958-1992) and James Woody. Among their soundtracks are the scores to several Alex Cox films, including Sid and Nancy, Straight to Hell, The Winner, Death and the Compass, and Three Businessmen.
2) PFR are a Christian Rock band that were originally known as Pray for Rain. The band changed their name to PFR in 1992, shortly after the release of their debut self-titled album, due to the name conflict with the above group.
